1. Introduction

This manual contains important information regarding the safe use, operation, and maintenance of your appliance. Please read it thoroughly before first use and keep it for future reference.

The Lumi features an integrated water filtration system and a cooling function, ensuring you always have access to clean, refreshing water. It uses Aqua Optima Evolve+ filter cartridges for optimal performance.

2. Safety Information

Please observe the following safety precautions to prevent injury or damage to the appliance:

• Read all instructions before using the appliance.
• This appliance is for household use only. Do not use outdoors.
• Do not immerse the appliance, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
• Ensure the power supply voltage matches the rating label on the appliance.
• Unplug from the outlet when not in use, before assembling or disassembling parts, and before cleaning.

4. Setup

1. Unpack the Unit: Carefully remove all packaging materials. Place the Lumi on a stable, level countertop surface, ensuring adequate ventilation around the unit.
2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the removable water reservoir, lid, and drip tray with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
3. Prepare the Filter: Remove the Aqua Optima Evolve+ filter from its packaging. Submerge the filter in cold water for 5 minutes to remove any air bubbles.
4. Install the Filter: Insert the prepared filter cartridge firmly into the designated slot within the water reservoir. Ensure it is seated correctly to prevent unfiltered water from bypassing the filter.
5. Fill the Reservoir: Fill the water reservoir with cold tap water. The water will slowly filter through the cartridge into the lower tank. For the first two fills, dispense and discard the filtered water to flush the filter and remove any carbon dust.
6. Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet. The blue "POWER" LED indicator will illuminate.

5. Operating Instructions

The Aqua Optima Lumi offers two modes of operation: dispensing filtered water or dispensing cooled filtered water.

5.1 Dispensing Filtered Water (Non-Cooled)

If you only require filtered water without cooling, you do not need to plug in the unit. The Lumi dispenses water by gravity.

1. Ensure the water reservoir is filled with tap water.
2. Place a glass or container under the dispenser tap.
3. Press the dispense button (water droplet icon) to release filtered water. Release the button to stop.

5.2 Dispensing Cooled Filtered Water

To enjoy cooled filtered water, ensure the unit is plugged in and powered on.

1. Ensure the unit is plugged in and the blue "POWER" LED is illuminated.
2. The Lumi will automatically begin cooling the water in its internal 0.8L refrigerated tank.
3. The blue "COOL" LED indicator will illuminate when the water has reached its optimal cooled temperature (approximately 12°C). This typically takes about 30-35 minutes for 0.8L of water.
4. Place a glass or container under the dispenser tap.
5. Press the dispense button (water droplet icon) to release cooled, filtered water. Release the button to stop.

6. Filter Replacement

For optimal filtration performance, it is recommended to replace the Aqua Optima Evolve+ filter cartridge every 30 days or after approximately 100 liters of filtered water, whichever comes first.

6.1 Filter Technology

The Evolve+ filter utilizes a patented 5-step filtration technology designed to reduce impurities from tap water, including microplastics, chlorine, limescale, herbicides, pesticides, lead, and heavy metals.

6.2 Replacement Procedure

1. Unplug the Unit: Always unplug the Lumi from the power outlet before replacing the filter.
2. Empty Reservoir: Remove the water reservoir and empty any remaining water.
3. Remove Old Filter: Carefully remove the used Evolve+ filter cartridge from its slot.
4. Prepare New Filter: Submerge a new Aqua Optima Evolve+ filter in cold water for 5 minutes to remove air bubbles.
5. Install New Filter: Insert the new filter firmly into the designated slot in the reservoir.
6. Flush New Filter: Reassemble the reservoir, fill it with tap water, and dispense the first two full reservoirs of filtered water, discarding them. This flushes any carbon dust from the new filter.
7. Reset Filter Reminder (if applicable): If your unit has a filter life indicator (not present on this model), reset it according to its instructions.

Replacement Aqua Optima Evolve+ filter cartridges are available separately from authorized retailers.

7. Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures the longevity and hygienic operation of your Aqua Optima Lumi.

1. Unplug Before Cleaning: Always unplug the unit from the power outlet before cleaning.
2. Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
3. Water Reservoir and Drip Tray: Remove the water reservoir, lid, and drip tray. Wash them with warm soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and dry completely before reassembling.
4. Internal Cleaning: For a more thorough internal cleaning, you may use a mild descaling solution suitable for water appliances, following the solution's instructions. Ensure all descaling solution is thoroughly rinsed out before refilling with water.
5. Do Not Immerse: Never immerse the main unit (containing electrical components) in water or any other liquid.
