1. Introduction

2. Important Safety Information

Read all instructions before using this fan. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious personal injury.

  • Always unplug the fan before cleaning, servicing, or moving.
  • Do not operate any fan with a damaged cord or plug. Discard fan or return to an authorized service facility for examination and/or repair.
  • Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
  • Do not insert or allow fingers or foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the fan.
  • Do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces. This fan is designed for indoor use only.
  • Always place the fan on a stable, flat surface to prevent tipping.
  • Keep children and pets away from the fan during operation.

3. Setup Instructions

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the fan from its packaging. Inspect the fan for any signs of damage during transit. Ensure all components listed in the packaging are present.
  2. Placement: Position the fan on a firm, level surface. Ensure there is adequate space around the fan for optimal airflow and to prevent obstruction of the air intake or exhaust. Keep the fan away from curtains, loose clothing, or other objects that could be drawn into the fan blades.
  3. Power Connection: This fan is equipped with a 3-prong grounded plug for your safety. Plug the fan directly into a properly grounded 120V AC electrical outlet. Do not use extension cords or power strips unless absolutely necessary and ensure they are rated for the fan's wattage (86 watts).
  4. Adjusting Tilt: The fan head can be tilted to direct airflow. Loosen the large knobs on either side of the fan frame, adjust the fan to the desired angle, and then securely tighten the knobs to lock it in place.

4. Operating Instructions

The Maxx Air Industrial Fan features a simple control for ease of use.

  1. Power On/Off: Locate the control switch on the side of the fan.
  2. Speed Selection: This fan has 2 power levels.
    • Move the switch to the 'LOW' position for a lower airflow setting.
    • Move the switch to the 'HIGH' position for maximum airflow.
    • Move the switch to the 'OFF' position to turn the fan off.
  3. Airflow Direction: Adjust the fan's tilt as described in the Setup section to direct the airflow to your desired area.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your Maxx Air fan.

  • Cleaning:
    • Always unplug the fan before cleaning.
    • Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the exterior surfaces. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
    • Periodically clean dust and debris from the fan blades and grilles using a vacuum cleaner or a soft brush. Accumulation of dust can reduce efficiency and potentially cause overheating.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the fan in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original packaging or covered to protect it from dust.
  • Inspection: Regularly check the power cord and plug for any damage. Ensure all screws and fasteners are tight.

6. Troubleshooting

If your Maxx Air fan is not operating correctly, consult the following common issues and solutions:
