5. Setup

5.1 Placement

Place the RAFY 71 on a firm, level surface in the desired room. Its compact design and integrated wheels allow for easy movement. It is ideal for rooms up to 15 square meters.

5.2 Filling the Water Tank

  1. Ensure the appliance is unplugged from the power outlet.
  2. Locate the water tank access. For the RAFY 71, this is typically at the bottom rear or side.
  3. Carefully pour clean, cool water into the tank. The tank has a capacity of 6 liters.
  4. Observe the water level indicator to ensure the water does not exceed the 'MAX' line and is above the 'MIN' line.
  5. For enhanced cooling, you may add ice packs or ice cubes to the water tank if the design allows.

6. Operating Instructions

The RAFY 71 can be operated using the digital control panel on the top of the unit or the included remote control.

  • ON/OFF Button: Press to turn the unit on or off.
  • Speed Button: Cycle through the three available fan speeds (Low, Medium, High).
  • Swing Button: Activate or deactivate the automatic oscillation function for wider air distribution.
  • Timer Button: Set the operating time for the unit.
  • Cool Button: Activates the evaporative cooling function. Ensure the water tank is filled.

6.2 Modes of Operation

  • Cooling: Uses water evaporation to lower the ambient temperature.
  • Humidification: Adds moisture to the air, beneficial in dry environments.
  • Air Purification: Helps to clean the air as it passes through the unit.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your RAFY 71 air cooler.

7.1 Cleaning the Water Tank

Empty and clean the water tank regularly to prevent mold and bacteria growth. Use a mild detergent and rinse thoroughly. Ensure the tank is completely dry before refilling or storing.

7.2 Cleaning the Evaporation Plate/Filter

  1. Unplug the appliance.
  2. Carefully remove the rear grille and the cellulose evaporation plate.
  3. Rinse the plate under running water to remove dust and mineral deposits. Do not use harsh chemicals.
  4. Allow the plate to air dry completely before reinserting.
  5. Clean the rear grille with a soft cloth.

8. Troubleshooting
