3. Setup and Connection

The AUTOOL BT360 battery tester is designed for safe passive testing and powers on automatically once properly attached to the battery. Ensure the vehicle's ignition is off and all electrical devices are turned off before connecting the tester.

1. Locate your vehicle's 12V battery.
2. Connect the red clamp of the BT360 to the positive (+) terminal of the battery.
3. Connect the black clamp of the BT360 to the negative (-) terminal of the battery.
4. The device will power on and display the main menu.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Interface Display

4.2. Quick Test

This mode provides a rapid assessment of the battery's condition.

1. From the main menu, select "Quick Test".
2. Follow the on-screen prompts, ensuring the engine and all electrical devices are off.
3. Enter the Ah (Ampere-hour) rating of your battery when prompted.
4. The tester will perform the test and display results such as voltage, life percentage, and impedance.

4.3. Standard Test

The Standard Test allows for a more detailed analysis and supports various battery types.

1. Select "Standard Test" from the main menu.
2. Choose the appropriate battery type (e.g., Normal battery, AGM Flat Plate, AGM Spiral, GEL, EFB).
3. The tester will guide you through the process and provide detailed results.

4.4. Cranking Test

This test evaluates the vehicle's starting system performance.

1. Select "Cranking Test" from the menu.
2. Follow the on-screen instruction to "Start Engine".
3. The tester will measure the cranking voltage and provide an assessment of the starting system.

4.5. Charging Test

The Charging Test assesses the vehicle's charging system (alternator).

1. Select "Charging Test" from the menu.
2. Follow the on-screen prompts: "Turn off the load" and "Increase the accelerator" (to increase RPM).
3. The tester will display load voltage, no-load voltage, and ripple, indicating the charging system's health.

5.2. Cleaning and Storage
