  • Power Input: 4-pin industrial DC power socket (9-50 VDC).

4. Setup

4.1. SIM Card Installation

  1. Connect the two LTE antennas to the "Mobile MAIN" and "Mobile AUX" connectors.
  2. Connect the GNSS antenna to the "GPS" connector.
  3. If using WiFi, connect the appropriate WiFi antennas (if external) to their designated connectors.
  4. Tighten all connectors hand-tight to ensure a secure connection.
  5. Position the antennas for optimal signal reception.

4.3. Power Connection

  1. Connect the 4-pin power adapter to the power input socket on the router.
  2. Connect the other end of the power adapter to a suitable power outlet.
  3. The router will power on automatically. Observe the PWR LED indicator.

4.4. Initial Access

  1. Connect your computer to one of the LAN ports (LAN1, LAN2, or LAN3) on the RUTX09 using the provided Ethernet cable. Alternatively, connect to the router's WiFi network using the default SSID and password (usually found on a sticker on the device).
  2. Ensure your computer is configured to obtain an IP address automatically (DHCP).
  3. Open a web browser and navigate to the default IP address: http://192.168.1.1.
  4. Enter the default login credentials (usually found on a sticker on the device or in the quick start guide).
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions for initial configuration, including changing the default password for security.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Basic Configuration

After logging into the web interface, you can configure various network settings:

  • Network Settings: Configure WAN (cellular or Ethernet), LAN, WiFi, and DHCP settings.
  • Mobile Configuration: Verify SIM card status, signal strength, and APN settings. The device supports auto APN detection.
  • System Settings: Adjust time, date, and manage user accounts.

5.2. Advanced Features

  • Dual SIM: The RUTX09 supports two SIM cards with features like auto-failover, backup WAN, and other switching scenarios to ensure continuous connectivity.
  • Carrier Aggregation: Utilize LTE Cat6 capabilities for cellular speeds up to 300 Mbps by combining multiple frequency bands.
  • Ethernet Ports: Configure the 4 Gigabit Ethernet ports, supporting up to 128 port/tag-based VLANs.
  • WiFi: Configure 802.11ac Dual-Band WiFi settings, including SSID, password, and security protocols. Supports WPS.
  • Routing: Implement static and dynamic routing protocols.
  • Security: Configure authentication methods (Pre-shared key, digital certificates, X.509 certificates) and web filters (blacklist for unwanted websites).
  • Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS): Use for location services and time synchronization.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Firmware Updates

Regularly update the router's firmware to ensure optimal performance, security, and access to new features. Firmware updates are typically performed via the web interface. Refer to the official Teltonika Networks website for the latest firmware versions and detailed update procedures.

6.2. Reset Procedures

  • Soft Reboot: Can be initiated from the web interface.
  • Factory Reset: To restore the device to its default settings, press and hold the reset button for approximately 10 seconds while the device is powered on. Release the button when all LEDs flash.

Problem Possible Cause Solution

WiFi not broadcasting or connecting WiFi disabled, incorrect SSID/password, antenna issue, channel interference. Check WiFi settings in the web interface, verify SSID and password, ensure WiFi antennas are connected (if external), try changing WiFi channels.
