1. Important Safety Instructions

Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance and keep them for future reference. Incorrect use can lead to injury or damage.

  • Always remove the crumb tray and clean it regularly to prevent fire hazards.

Components:

  1. Toasting Slots: Two long slots designed to accommodate up to four standard slices of bread or two longer slices.
  2. Control Lever: Used to lower and raise the bread carriage.

3. Setup

Before first use, follow these steps to prepare your toaster.

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the toaster from its packaging and remove all packing materials, including any protective films or stickers.
  2. Placement: Place the toaster on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from curtains or other flammable materials. Ensure there is adequate space around the toaster for ventilation.
  3. First Use (Burn-off Cycle): Before toasting bread for consumption, operate the toaster without bread for a few cycles at the highest browning setting. This will burn off any manufacturing residues and eliminate initial odors. Ensure the area is well-ventilated during this process.
  4. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Toasting Bread

  1. Insert up to four slices of bread into the toasting slots. Ensure the bread is not too thick to prevent jamming.
  2. Select your desired browning level using the browning control dial (1 for light, 6 for dark).
  3. Press the control lever down until it locks into place. The indicator light for the selected function (if any) will illuminate. The toasting cycle will begin.
  4. Once the selected browning level is reached, the bread will automatically pop up, and the toaster will switch off.

4.2 Using the Cancel Function

To stop the toasting cycle at any time, simply press the Cancel button. The bread carriage will immediately pop up.

4.3 Using the Reheat Function

To reheat already toasted bread without further browning:

  1. Insert the bread into the slots.
  2. Press the control lever down.
  3. Press the Reheat button. The indicator light will illuminate, and a short reheating cycle will begin.

4.4 Using the Defrost Function

To toast frozen bread:

  1. Insert the frozen bread into the slots.
  2. Press the control lever down.
  3. Press the Defrost button. The indicator light will illuminate. The toaster will automatically adjust the toasting time to first defrost and then toast the bread to your selected browning level.

4.5 Using the Bun Warmer Rack

The integrated bun warmer rack is ideal for warming buns, croissants, or pastries.

  1. Gently push the bun warmer lever upwards to raise the rack above the toasting slots.
  2. Place the items to be warmed on the rack.
  3. Set the browning control dial to a low setting (e.g., 1 or 2).
  4. Press the control lever down. The heating elements will activate to gently warm the items.
  5. Once warmed, lift the items from the rack. Push the bun warmer lever down to retract the rack.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your toaster.

  1. Always unplug the toaster and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Crumb Tray: Pull out the removable crumb tray from the bottom of the toaster. Discard collected crumbs. Wipe the tray with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly before reinserting.

  1. Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the toaster with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads, as these can scratch the stainless steel finish.
  2. Interior: Never insert utensils or fingers into the toasting slots to remove crumbs or jammed bread. If bread becomes jammed, unplug the toaster and carefully remove the bread after it has cooled.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your toaster, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
