Compatibility

The Tek Styz USB-C 3.0 OTG Adapter is compatible with devices equipped with a USB Type-C port that supports OTG functionality. It facilitates connection to a broad range of USB peripherals, such as keyboards, mice, flash drives, external hard drives, USB card readers, and game controllers.

Setup

1. Identify the USB-C port on your host device (e.g., smartphone, tablet, laptop).
2. Connect the USB-C male connector of the OTG adapter into the USB-C port of your host device. The connector is reversible, allowing for insertion in either orientation.
3. Connect your desired USB peripheral (e.g., flash drive, keyboard, mouse) into the USB 3.0 female port of the OTG adapter.
4. Your host device should automatically detect the connected peripheral. No additional drivers are typically required for standard peripherals.

Operating Instructions

Data Transfer

Once a storage device (e.g., flash drive, external hard drive) is connected via the OTG adapter, your host device's file manager application can be used to access, transfer, and manage files. The adapter supports USB 3.0 speeds for fast data transfer.

Peripheral Use

For input devices like keyboards and mice, simply connect them to the adapter. Your host device will recognize them as standard input devices, allowing for typing, navigation, and other functions. Game controllers can also be connected for compatible gaming applications.

Power Delivery to Peripherals

Troubleshooting

Device Not Detected

• Ensure your host device's USB-C port fully supports OTG functionality. Not all USB-C ports are OTG compatible.
• Verify that the peripheral you are connecting is functioning correctly when connected directly to a computer or another compatible device.
• Disconnect and then firmly reconnect both the adapter to your host device and the peripheral to the adapter.
• Restart your host device.
• If using a power-intensive peripheral (e.g., some external hard drives), ensure it has its own power source if required.

Slow Data Transfer

• Ensure both your host device and the connected peripheral support USB 3.0 or higher for optimal speeds. If either device is USB 2.0, data transfer speeds will be limited to USB 2.0.
• Check for other background processes on your host device that might be consuming system resources and affecting transfer speeds.
