Setup
Follow these steps to properly install your SICCE XSTREAM 3500 Wave Maker Flow Pump:
- Inspect the Pump: Before installation, carefully inspect the pump for any damage. Ensure all components are securely in place.
- Clean the Glass: Thoroughly clean the area on your aquarium glass where you intend to place the wave pump. This ensures a strong and secure magnetic attachment.
- Prepare the Magnetic Mount: The pump comes with a magnetic support system. You may optionally remove the separator and add the anti-vibration case for enhanced stability and reduced vibration.
- Submerge Vertically: Gently submerge the pump vertically into the water. This allows any trapped air to escape, preventing air pockets that could affect performance or cause noise.
- Position and Secure: Place the pump in your desired location inside the aquarium. Align the external magnet on the outside of the glass with the internal magnetic mount of the pump. The strong magnets will hold the pump firmly in place. The magnetic mount allows for 360° directional flow adjustment.
- Connect to Power: Once securely positioned, connect the pump to a suitable power source.

Operating Instructions
The SICCE XSTREAM 3500 Wave Maker is designed for continuous operation to maintain optimal water movement in your aquarium. Once installed and powered on, the pump will immediately begin circulating water.
- Adjusting Flow Direction: The magnetic mount allows for easy 360° rotation of the pump. Adjust the direction of the water flow to eliminate dead spots, direct debris towards filtration, and create natural currents for your aquatic inhabitants.
- Benefits of Water Movement: Consistent water movement helps to oxygenate the water, distribute nutrients, and prevent the accumulation of waste and debris on the substrate and decorations. This contributes to a healthier and more stable aquarium ecosystem.
Observe your fish and corals to ensure the flow is appropriate for their needs. If fish appear stressed or are struggling against the current, consider repositioning the pump or adjusting its angle to reduce direct impact.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and optimal performance of your SICCE XSTREAM 3500 Wave Maker. The pump features a pre-lubricated, self-cleaning impeller designed to minimize maintenance needs.
- Routine Cleaning: Periodically remove the pump from the aquarium and gently clean the impeller and pump housing. Algae and debris can accumulate over time, reducing efficiency and potentially causing noise. Use a soft brush and clean water for this process.
- Impeller Inspection: Inspect the impeller and ceramic bearings for any signs of wear or damage. The pure ceramic bearings are designed for durability and quiet operation.
- Power Disconnection: Always disconnect the pump from the power source before performing any maintenance or cleaning.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your SICCE XSTREAM 3500 Wave Maker, refer to the following common troubleshooting tips:
- Pump Not Starting/No Flow:
- Ensure the pump is properly plugged into a working power outlet.
- Check for any obstructions in the impeller or intake grill. Clean if necessary.
- Verify the pump is fully submerged and any trapped air has been released.
- Excessive Noise/Vibration:
- Clean the impeller and housing thoroughly, as debris can cause imbalance and noise.
- Ensure the pump is securely mounted and not vibrating against the aquarium glass. Consider using the anti-vibration case if not already installed.
- Check the ceramic bearings for wear or damage.
- Reduced Flow:
- Clean the impeller and intake grill to remove any blockages.
- Ensure the pump is positioned optimally for maximum water movement.
