3. Setup
3.1. Charging the Mug
Before initial use, fully charge your Ember Mug 2. Place the mug onto the included charging coaster. The LED indicator on the mug will show the charging status. A full charge provides up to 90 minutes of battery life, or all-day warmth when continuously placed on the charging coaster.

3.2. App Installation and Pairing
To unlock the full features of your Ember Mug 2, download the Ember app from your device's app store. Follow the on-screen instructions within the app to pair your mug via Bluetooth. This allows for precise temperature control and personalized settings.

4. Operating Your Ember Mug 2
4.1. Setting Your Desired Temperature
Using the Ember app, you can set your preferred beverage temperature between 120°F (49°C) and 145°F (63°C). Without the app, the mug defaults to 135°F (57°C) and remembers your last used setting.

4.2. Smart LED Indicator
The LED light at the base of the mug communicates its status:
- Pulsing White: Charging
- Solid White: Fully Charged
- Pulsing Color (set in app): Heating to target temperature
- Solid Color (set in app): At target temperature
- Red: Low battery

4.3. Battery Life and Auto Sleep
The Ember Mug 2 provides up to 90 minutes of heat on a full charge. For all-day warmth, keep the mug on its charging coaster. The mug features an auto-sleep function, waking up when hot liquid is poured in and entering sleep mode based on motion detection when empty or inactive.

4.4. Using with a Lid (Optional)
For enhanced heat retention and extended battery life, consider using a compatible sliding lid (sold separately). This can significantly prolong the time your beverage stays warm, especially when on the go.

5. Maintenance
5.1. Cleaning Instructions
The Ember Mug 2 is designed for easy cleaning. It is hand wash only and fully submersible up to 1 meter. Use a soft sponge and dish soap. Do not place the mug in a dishwasher.

If you encounter issues with your Ember Mug 2, consider the following:
- Mug not heating: Ensure the mug is properly seated on the charging coaster or has sufficient battery charge. Verify the desired temperature is set correctly in the app.
