Carefully remove all packaging materials. Ensure no parts are missing or damaged. Keep packaging materials out of reach of children.

1.2 Placement

  • Place the refrigerator on a flat, stable surface strong enough to support the unit when fully loaded.
  • Allow at least 5 inches (12.7 cm) of space between the back and sides of the refrigerator and any adjacent walls to ensure proper air circulation.
  • Avoid placing the unit in direct sunlight or near heat sources like stoves or heaters, as this can increase energy consumption.
  • This appliance is designed for indoor use only.

1.3 Leveling

The refrigerator must be level for proper operation. Adjust the leveling feet located at the bottom front of the unit by turning them clockwise or counter-clockwise until the refrigerator is stable and level.

1.4 Power Connection

  • Plug the refrigerator into a dedicated 120V, 60Hz grounded electrical outlet.
  • Do not use extension cords or ungrounded adapters.
  • Allow the refrigerator to stand upright for at least 2-4 hours before plugging it in to allow the refrigerant to settle.

2. Operating Instructions

2.1 Initial Start-up

After plugging in the unit, allow it to cool for approximately 2-3 hours before placing food inside. This ensures the interior reaches the desired temperature.

2.2 Temperature Control

The refrigerator features an adjustable thermostat. The temperature control dial is typically located inside the refrigerator compartment. Turn the dial to adjust the cooling intensity:

  • 'MIN' setting: Less cooling.
  • 'MAX' setting: More cooling.
  • The recommended setting for general use is usually midway.

Adjust the setting gradually and allow several hours for the temperature to stabilize between adjustments.

2.3 Freezer Compartment

The compact refrigerator includes a small internal freezer compartment with an ice cube tray. This compartment is suitable for making ice and storing small frozen items for short periods.

  • Do not store large quantities of food or items requiring long-term freezing in this compartment.
  • Ensure the freezer door is closed properly to maintain temperature.

  • Door Storage: Additional shelves on the door provide space for bottles and smaller items.

3. Maintenance

3.1 Cleaning Your Refrigerator

  • Interior: Clean the interior regularly with a solution of mild detergent and warm water. Wipe dry thoroughly.
  • Exterior: Wipe the exterior with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Door Gasket: Clean the door gasket regularly to ensure a tight seal.
  • Always unplug the refrigerator before cleaning.

3.2 Defrosting

This refrigerator features a manual defrost system for the freezer compartment. Frost buildup on the freezer walls can reduce cooling efficiency.

  • Defrost the freezer compartment when frost accumulation reaches about 1/4 inch (0.6 cm) thick.
  • To defrost, unplug the unit, remove all food from the freezer and refrigerator compartments, and leave the door open.
  • Place towels on the floor to catch melting ice. Do not use sharp objects or heating devices to speed up defrosting.
  • Once defrosted, clean and dry the interior thoroughly before plugging the unit back in.

4. Troubleshooting

Before contacting customer service, please check the following common issues and solutions:

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Refrigerator does not operate. Not plugged in; circuit breaker tripped; power outage. Ensure plug is secure; check circuit breaker; verify power supply.
Temperature is not cold enough. Temperature control set too warm; door opened too frequently; warm food placed inside; poor air circulation. Adjust thermostat to a colder setting; minimize door openings; allow hot food to cool before storing; ensure proper clearance around the unit.
Excessive noise. Unit not level; objects vibrating against the unit; normal compressor operation. Adjust leveling feet; ensure nothing is touching the refrigerator; some operating sounds are normal.
Door does not close properly. Unit not level; door gasket dirty or damaged; food packages blocking door. Level the unit; clean or replace gasket; rearrange contents.
