Setup

1. Power Connection

Connect the provided AC adapter to the clock's power input and then to a standard electrical outlet. The clock requires continuous AC power for operation. The included CR2 battery serves as a backup to retain your settings in case of a power interruption.

2. Setting Time and Date

1. Locate the MODE switch on the back of the clock.
2. Slide the MODE switch to the "Time" position.
3. Use the UP (▲) and DOWN (▼) arrow buttons on the back to adjust the hour and minute.
4. Slide the MODE switch to the "Prog" (Program) position to set the date (month, day, year). Use the UP (▲) and DOWN (▼) arrow buttons to adjust.
5. Once the time and date are set, slide the MODE switch back to "Lock" to prevent accidental changes.

3. Language Selection

1. Slide the MODE switch on the back to the "Lang" (Language) position.
2. Use the UP (▲) and DOWN (▼) arrow buttons to cycle through the available languages: English (US), English (UK), Spanish, German, French, and Italian.
3. Select your desired language.
4. Slide the MODE switch back to "Lock" when finished.

Operating Instructions

1. Display Information

The large, high-definition display clearly shows the day of the week (e.g., TUESDAY), the current time (e.g., 10:25 AM), and a small icon (sun for day, moon for night) to provide additional context.

2. Time and Message Playback

• Announce Current Time: Press the large "Time ?" button on the top of the clock to hear the current time, day, and date announced verbally.
• Play Recorded Messages: Press the "Play Messages" button on the top of the clock to hear any recorded messages associated with active alarms.

3. Alarm Settings

The clock supports up to 8 independent alarms.

1. Setting an Alarm:
   • Slide the MODE switch on the back to the "Alarm" position.
   • Use the ALARM selector switch (numbered 1-8) to choose which alarm you wish to set or modify.
   • Use the UP (▲) and DOWN (▼) arrow buttons to set the desired alarm time.
   • Slide the MODE switch to "Tone" to select the alarm type: tone, bell, or voice message.
   • Slide the MODE switch back to "Lock" when you are finished setting the alarm.
2. Recording Voice Messages:
   • Slide the MODE switch to the "Prog" (Program) position.
   • Select the desired alarm number (1-8) using the ALARM selector switch.
   • Press and hold the red "Record" button on the back of the clock while speaking your message. Release the button when you are finished.
   • Press the "Play" button to review your recorded message.
   • To erase a message, press the "Erase" button.
   • Slide the MODE switch back to "Lock" after recording.
3. Stopping an Alarm: When an alarm sounds, press the large "OK" button on the top of the clock to silence it. Voice messages will loop for 30 minutes until the "OK" button is pressed.

4. Additional Controls

• Volume Adjustment: Use the vertical slider labeled "VOLUME" on the side of the clock to increase or decrease the loudness of voice announcements and alarms.
• Brightness Adjustment: Use the vertical slider labeled "BRIGHTNESS" on the side of the clock to adjust the intensity of the display.
• USB Charging Port: A USB port is located on the side of the clock, allowing you to charge compatible external devices.
• External Speaker Jack: A 3.5mm audio jack is available on the side to connect an external speaker for increased audio output, if desired.

Care and Cleaning

Battery Replacement

The clock uses one CR2 battery for backup purposes. If the clock fails to retain its settings during a power outage, the CR2 battery may need to be replaced. Refer to the battery compartment on the underside of the clock for specific replacement instructions.

Troubleshooting

• Clock Resetting Unexpectedly: Ensure the AC power adapter is securely plugged into both the clock and the wall outlet. A loose connection can cause the clock to lose power and reset, although the backup battery should preserve settings.
• No Sound or Low Volume: Check the volume slider on the side of the clock. Ensure it is not set to the minimum level or muted.
• Display Not Visible or Too Bright: Adjust the brightness slider on the side of the clock to your preferred level.
• Alarm Not Sounding: Verify that the alarm is correctly set in "Alarm" mode and that the volume is adequate. Confirm that the alarm type (tone, bell, or voice) is selected as desired.
