Prophete Geniesser e8.6 Electric Bicycle User Manual

Model: Geniesser e8.6

1. Setup

The Prophete Geniesser e8.6 Electric Bicycle may be shipped partially pre-assembled for transport reasons. Final assembly is required and should be performed by the user or a qualified bicycle technician. This includes, but is not limited to, the installation of the saddle, handlebars, and pedals, as well as the adjustment of gears and brakes, and spoke centering. Please note that for pre-assembled wheels, final assembly must be completed, as the manufacturer is not liable for damages resulting from incomplete final assembly.

1.1 Initial Assembly

  1. Handlebar Installation and Adjustment: Attach the handlebars to the Promax aluminum stem. Adjust the stem angle and handlebar position for comfortable riding. Ensure all bolts are securely tightened.
  2. Saddle and Seat Post Installation: Insert the PROPHETE aluminum patent suspension seat post into the frame. Mount the Selle Royal City saddle onto the seat post. Adjust the saddle height to ensure proper leg extension while pedaling. Secure the quick-release or bolt.
  3. Pedal Attachment: Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals. The left pedal threads counter-clockwise, and the right pedal threads clockwise. Apply a small amount of grease to the threads and tighten them firmly with a wrench.
  4. Brake and Gear Adjustment: Verify that the Promax aluminum V-brakes (front and rear) and the rear coaster brake are functioning correctly. Adjust the brake levers for comfortable reach and ensure proper braking power. Check the 7-speed Shimano Nexus hub gear for smooth shifting. If unsure, consult a bicycle technician.
  5. Tire Inflation: Inflate the Continental reflex and puncture-stop tires to the recommended pressure indicated on the tire sidewall.

1.2 Battery Charging and Installation

The SAMSUNG Side-Click lithium-ion battery (36 Volt, 10.4 Ah) should be fully charged before the first use. Connect the charger to a standard power outlet and then to the battery charging port. The LED indicator on the charger will show the charging status. Once fully charged, disconnect the charger.

To install the battery, slide it securely into its designated position on the bicycle until it clicks into place. Ensure it is firmly seated to prevent dislodgement during riding.

2. Operating Instructions

2.1 Powering On/Off and Assistance Levels

To power on the electric assistance system, press the power button on the Trio control panel. The LED indicator will illuminate, showing the battery charge level and current assistance mode. Use the control panel to select your desired level of motor assistance. The TRIO front-wheel motor provides 36 Volt assistance up to 25 km/h.

To power off the system, press and hold the power button until the LED indicators turn off.

2.2 Using the Starting Aid

The bicycle is equipped with a starting aid function. When activated, this feature provides a gentle boost to help you get started from a standstill, especially useful on inclines or when carrying heavy loads. Consult the control panel instructions for specific activation steps.

2.3 Gear Shifting

The Prophete Geniesser e8.6 features a 7-speed Shimano Nexus hub gear with a twist shifter. To change gears, rotate the shifter on the handlebar. Shift to a lower gear for easier pedaling on inclines and a higher gear for faster speeds on flat terrain. Shift gears smoothly and avoid shifting under heavy load.

2.4 Lighting Operation

The bicycle's lighting system is powered by the main battery. It includes a PROPHETE 30 lux LED headlight and an AXA LED taillight. Activate the lights using the designated button on the control panel. Ensure lights are on when riding in low-light conditions or at night for safety.

2.5 Estimated Range

The estimated range of the electric bicycle is approximately 100 km on a full charge. Actual range may vary depending on factors such as terrain, rider weight, assistance level used, tire pressure, and weather conditions.

3. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your electric bicycle.

3.1 Battery Care

  • Charge the battery regularly, even if not in use, to maintain its health. Avoid completely draining the battery.
  • Store the battery in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Do not expose the battery to water or moisture.

3.2 Tire Maintenance

  • Check tire pressure before each ride and inflate to the recommended PSI/Bar.
  • Inspect tires for wear, cuts, or embedded objects. Replace worn or damaged tires promptly.
