1. Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the proper use and maintenance of your Master Lock 5KA-A297 Laminated Padlocks. 2. Setup

The Master Lock 5KA-A297 padlocks are ready for immediate use upon unpacking. No assembly is required.

2.1 Unpacking

  • Carefully remove all 24 padlocks and their corresponding keys from the packaging.
  • Verify that all keys are marked with "A297" to confirm they are keyed alike.
  • Retain all packaging materials until you are satisfied with the product.

2.2 Key Identification

Each padlock in this set is designed to be opened by any key marked with the code "A297". This allows for convenient access to multiple secured items with a single key.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Locking the Padlock

  1. Ensure the shackle is in the open position.
  2. Position the padlock so the shackle passes through the item(s) you wish to secure (e.g., hasp, chain link).
  3. Press the shackle firmly into the padlock body until it clicks into place. The padlock is now locked.

3.2 Unlocking the Padlock

  1. Insert one of the A297 keys fully into the keyway of the padlock.
  2. Turn the key clockwise approximately one-quarter turn (90 degrees).
  3. The shackle will spring open. Remove the key.
  4. To re-lock, follow the steps in section 3.1.

Important: Always remove the key after locking or unlocking to prevent loss or damage.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning
