4. Setup

4.1. Inserting SIM Card(s)

  1. Carefully remove the back cover of the phone.
  2. If the battery is inserted, remove it.
  3. Locate the SIM card slot(s). This phone supports dual SIM cards.
  4. Insert your SIM card(s) into the designated slot(s) with the gold contacts facing down, ensuring it clicks into place.

4.2. Inserting the Battery

  1. Align the battery contacts with the contacts in the phone's battery compartment.
  2. Gently press the battery down until it is securely in place.
  3. Replace the back cover, ensuring it snaps shut.

4.3. Charging the Phone

  1. Connect the Micro USB charger cable to the charging port located at the top of the phone.
  2. Plug the other end of the charger into a power outlet.
  3. The phone will indicate that it is charging. Allow the phone to charge fully before first use.

5. Basic Operation

5.1. Power On/Off

  • To power on, press and hold the Power/End Call button until the screen lights up.
  • To power off, press and hold the Power/End Call button until the power-off options appear, then select 'Power off'.

5.2. Making Calls

  1. From the home screen, use the keypad to dial the desired phone number.
  2. Press the Call button (usually a green phone icon) to initiate the call.
  3. To end a call, press the Power/End Call button (usually a red phone icon).

5.3. Sending Messages

  1. Navigate to the 'Messages' menu from the main screen.
  2. Select 'Write message' or 'New SMS'.
  3. Enter your message using the keypad.
  4. Enter the recipient's phone number or select from contacts.
  5. Press 'Send'.

5.4. Bluetooth Connectivity

The KECHAODA A26 supports Bluetooth for connecting to other devices, such as headsets or for use as a Bluetooth dialer with a smartphone.

  1. Go to 'Settings' and then 'Bluetooth'.
  2. Turn Bluetooth 'On'.
  3. Search for available devices and select the device you wish to pair with.
  4. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the pairing process.

7.3. Bluetooth not connecting

  • Try restarting both devices and attempting to pair again.
