Setup

Initial Setup

1. Position the Baby Unit (Camera): Place the camera in your baby's room on a flat surface or mount it to a wall, ensuring a clear view of the crib or play area. Keep the camera at least 3 feet (1 meter) away from the baby to avoid potential hazards.
2. Connect Power to Baby Unit: Plug the small end of the camera's power adapter into the DC jack on the back of the baby unit. Plug the other end into a standard electrical outlet.
3. Charge the Parent Unit (Monitor): Connect the parent unit's power adapter to the DC jack on the side of the parent unit. Plug the other end into a standard electrical outlet. The parent unit has a rechargeable battery for portability. For first-time use, charge the parent unit for at least 3 hours.
4. Power On: Press and hold the power button on the parent unit until the HelloBaby logo appears. The parent unit will automatically connect to the baby unit.

Operating Instructions

Remote Pan, Tilt, and Zoom

The camera can be remotely controlled from the parent unit to pan (move horizontally), tilt (move vertically), and zoom in on your baby. Use the directional buttons on the parent unit to adjust the camera's view. The camera rotates 355° horizontally and 120° vertically.

The camera offers extensive remote pan and tilt capabilities for a full view of the room.

Two-Way Talk

The crystal clear two-way audio feature allows conversation both ends as clear as if you were in the same room with your little one. Press and hold the microphone button on the parent unit to speak to your baby through the camera's speaker. Release the button to hear your baby.

Night Vision

The monitor is equipped with infrared night vision, which automatically activates in low-light conditions. This allows you to see your baby clearly even in a completely dark room without disturbing their sleep.

The baby unit includes a temperature sensor that displays the room temperature on the parent unit, alerting you if it goes outside a set range. You can also play soothing lullabies directly from the parent unit to help your baby fall asleep.

VOX Mode

VOX (Voice Operated Exchange) mode allows the monitor to enter a power-saving sleep mode when no sound is detected. When your baby makes a sound (e.g., crying), the monitor will automatically activate the screen and audio. You can adjust the sensitivity of the VOX mode to suit your environment.

The 3.2-inch LCD screen provides a clear view, with 2X digital zoom for closer inspection.

Maintenance

To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your HelloBaby monitor, follow these maintenance guidelines:

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the surfaces of the parent and baby units. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Avoid Water: Keep both units away from water and moisture. Do not immerse them in water.
• Temperature: Avoid exposing the units to extreme temperatures (hot or cold) or direct sunlight.
• Storage: If storing the monitor for an extended period, ensure the parent unit's battery is fully charged, then power off both units. Store in a cool, dry place.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your HelloBaby monitor, please refer to the following common solutions:

• No Picture/Sound: Ensure both the parent unit and baby unit are powered on and properly connected to their power adapters. Check that the units are within range of each other.
• Monitor Freezing: If the monitor screen freezes occasionally, this is normal. Try resetting the monitor by pressing the reset key (usually a small pinhole button) on the back of the unit. You may also need to re-pair the camera with the monitor if the issue persists after resetting. Refer to the pairing instructions in the full user guide.
• Poor Signal/Interference: Move the parent unit closer to the baby unit. Avoid placing the units near other electronic devices that may cause interference (e.g., Wi-Fi routers, microwaves).
