Setup
Initial Cleaning
Before first use, wash the wok thoroughly with warm water and dish soap. The Buffalo Clad material does not require chemical sterilization or seasoning prior to initial use. Simply wash, rinse, and dry.
Operating Instructions
General Usage
The wok's surface does not contain a chemical coating. To prevent food from sticking, always add a small amount of cooking oil before heating. Heat the oil until shimmering before adding food. This physical non-stick property improves with proper use and care.
Cooking Methods
Frying
Heat the wok with medium to high heat. Add cooking oil. Once the oil is shimmering, add food. Use a spatula to prevent sticking. For best results, ensure the wok is hot and dry before adding oil.
Stir-Frying
Heat the wok with medium to high heat for about a minute. Add a small amount of water on the edge of the pot after you add vegetables. Close the lid and allow steam to cook the food. This method helps achieve high-temperature stir-fry results while reducing smoke.

Steaming (with optional accessory)
To use the steaming function, place the steaming rack (sold separately) inside the wok. Add water to the wok, ensuring it does not touch the bottom of the steaming rack. Place food on the steaming rack and cover with the lid. The holes in the rack allow steam to cook your food evenly.

Care & Maintenance
Cleaning Methods
For everyday cleaning: Hand wash only. While the pot is still warm, pour a bowl of water into the pot, swirl it around, and then add a small amount of dishwashing detergent. Use a melon cloth or stainless steel scrub to remove residues. Rinse thoroughly.
For stubborn stains or discoloration: If food is overcooked or braised, it might cause the pot to turn yellow or charred. Reheat the specific area, then clean using a stainless steel scrub with a small amount of dishwashing detergent. For persistent stains, especially if the pot body turns yellow and produces grease due to long heating, use Buffalo stainless steel cleaning agent. Stains should be easily removed. If you are concerned about damaging the surface, you can use newspapers combined with your stainless steel cleaning agent.
Storage
Ensure the wok is completely dry before storing to prevent water spots or discoloration. Store in a dry place.
Troubleshooting
Food Sticking
- Ensure the wok is properly heated before adding oil.
- Always use a sufficient amount of cooking oil.
- For stainless steel, it's crucial to heat the pan first, then add oil, then add food.
Discoloration (Yellowing/Charring)
- This can occur from overcooking or prolonged high heat.
- Reheat the affected area and scrub with dishwashing detergent and a stainless steel scrub.
