4. Setup
4.1 Battery Installation
The TOPINCN Digital Scale requires a button cell battery for operation. Please note that the battery is typically not included with the product.
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the scale.
- Gently slide or pry open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert the button cell battery (e.g., CR2032, please check the compartment for specific battery type markings if available) with the positive (+) side facing upwards, following the polarity indicators inside the compartment.
- Replace the battery compartment cover securely.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Power On/Off
- To turn on the scale, press the Power/Unit button. The LCD display will light up and show "0.000 kg" or "0.00 lb".
- To turn off the scale, press and hold the Power/Unit button for a few seconds until the display turns off. The scale also features an auto-off function to save battery power.
5.2 Unit Conversion
- While the scale is on, press the Power/Unit button briefly to cycle through the available weighing units: kilograms (kg) and pounds (lb).
- Select your desired unit before weighing.
5.3 Tare Function
The Tare function allows you to subtract the weight of a container, so you only measure the contents.
- Hang the empty container onto the weighing hook.
- Wait for the display to stabilize and show the container's weight.
- Press the Power/Unit button briefly. The display will reset to "0.000 kg" or "0.00 lb".
- You can now add items to the container, and the scale will display only the net weight of the items.
5.4 Weighing Items
- Ensure the scale is powered on and set to your desired unit.
- If using a container, perform the Tare function as described above.
- Carefully hang the item or the container with items onto the weighing hook.
- Hold the scale steady and wait for the display to stabilize. The weight will be shown on the LCD.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the scale with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the scale in water.
