- Plastic and Metal Parts: Wipe plastic and metal parts with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
6.2 Storage
When not in use, store the car seat in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your Joie Tilt Car Seat, refer to the following common solutions:
- Harness difficult to tighten/loosen: Check for twists in the harness straps or obstructions in the harness adjustment mechanism. Ensure the harness release button is fully pressed when loosening.
- Car seat feels loose after installation: Re-read the installation instructions carefully. Ensure the vehicle seat belt is routed correctly through the color-coded guides and pulled as tight as possible, engaging the lock-offs. Apply firm pressure to the car seat while tightening the belt.
- Buckle not latching: Ensure both buckle tongues are inserted fully into the buckle until a click is heard. Check for debris in the buckle mechanism.
