1. Product Overview

The FABER STEELMAX 800 is an 80cm inclined decorative hood, designed with stainless steel and black glass. It features advanced extraction capabilities and user-friendly controls to enhance your kitchen environment.

2. Setup and Installation

This hood is designed for wall-mounted installation. Ensure you have adequate space and proper electrical connections before proceeding. The hood can operate in ducted or recirculating mode.

3. Operating Instructions

The FABER STEELMAX 800 features intuitive touch controls for easy operation of its functions.

Control Panel:

The control panel is located on the front glass facade. It includes sensitive touch buttons for power, speed selection, and lighting.

1. Power On/Off: Touch the power symbol to turn the hood on or off.
2. Speed Selection: Select from 3 normal speeds or activate the intensive temporization setting for maximum extraction.
3. LED Lighting: Touch the light symbol to turn the LED lighting on or off.

Double Aspiration System:

The double aspiration system ensures high extraction efficiency by filtering air at two levels: one beneath the hood and another behind the glass panel.

4. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your hood.

Grease Filters:

• The hood is equipped with 2 metallic grease filters.
• These filters should be cleaned regularly (e.g., monthly) to maintain extraction efficiency. They are typically dishwasher-safe or can be washed by hand with hot water and detergent.

Charcoal Filter (for Recirculating Mode):

• If operating in recirculating mode, an optional charcoal filter (Reference: 0449613) is required.
• Charcoal filters are not washable and must be replaced periodically, typically every 3-6 months depending on usage.

Cleaning the Exterior:

• Clean the stainless steel and glass surfaces with a soft cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner specifically designed for these materials.
• Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive pads that could scratch the surfaces.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your hood, refer to the following general troubleshooting tips. For more complex problems, contact customer support.

• Hood not turning on: Check the power supply and ensure the hood is properly plugged in. Verify that the circuit breaker has not tripped.
• Low extraction power: Clean or replace the grease filters. If in recirculating mode, check and replace the charcoal filter if necessary. Ensure there are no obstructions in the ducting (if applicable).
• Excessive noise: Check for loose components or improper installation. Ensure filters are correctly seated.
• Lights not working: Check if the LED lights are properly connected. If individual LEDs are replaceable, consult a qualified technician.
