Setup

Before First Use:

1. Unpack the toaster and remove all packaging materials.
2. Wipe the exterior of the toaster with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the toaster in water.
3. Ensure the crumb tray is properly inserted.
4. Place the toaster on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from flammable materials.
5. For the first use, operate the toaster without bread on the highest setting (6) to burn off any manufacturing residues. A slight odor or smoke may be present; this is normal. Allow the toaster to cool completely.

Operating Instructions

Basic Toasting:

1. Plug the toaster into a 120V AC electrical outlet.
2. Adjust the Browning Control Knob to your desired shade (1 for lightest, 6 for darkest).
3. Insert bread slices into the toasting slot. The self-adjusting guides will center the bread for even toasting.
4. Press the Toasting Lever down until it locks. The Cancel button will illuminate, indicating the toasting cycle has begun.
5. When the desired toast shade is reached, the toast will automatically pop up and the cycle will end.
6. To stop the cycle at any time, press the Cancel Button.

Using the Bagel Function:

• After inserting your bagel halves and pressing the toasting lever down, press the Bagel Button. The Bagel button will illuminate.
• This function toasts the cut side of the bagel while gently warming the outer, rounded side.

Using the Defrost Function:

• For frozen items, insert them into the slot and press the toasting lever down. Then, press the Defrost Button. The Defrost button will illuminate.
• This function extends the toasting time to properly defrost and toast frozen bread, waffles, or pastries.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Cleaning the Crumb Tray:

1. Always unplug the toaster and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
2. Pull out the Slide-Out Crumb Tray located at the bottom of the toaster.
3. Discard crumbs. Wipe the tray with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
4. Slide the crumb tray back into place until it locks securely.

Cleaning the Exterior:

• Wipe the exterior of the toaster with a soft, damp cloth.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads, as they may scratch the stainless steel finish.
• Ensure the toaster is completely dry before plugging it back in.
