6. Setup

6.1. Wiring Installation

WARNING: Ensure the main power supply is turned OFF at the circuit breaker before proceeding with installation to prevent electric shock.

  1. Turn off Power: Locate the circuit breaker controlling the power to the switch location and turn it off. Verify power is off using a voltage tester.
  2. Remove Old Switch: Carefully remove the existing roller shutter switch from the wall box. Disconnect its wires, noting their connections if possible.
  3. Connect Wires: Connect the wires to the Maxcio WF-CS01 switch according to the diagram below. This switch requires a neutral wire (N), live wire (L), and motor wires (Up, Down, Common).
    • L: Live Wire (usually brown or red)
    • N: Neutral Wire (usually blue or black)
    • L1 (Up): Motor Up Wire
    • L2 (Down): Motor Down Wire
    • COM: Common Motor Wire
  4. Mount the Switch: Gently push the connected wires into the wall box. Secure the Maxcio switch into the wall box using the provided screws.
  5. Attach Faceplate: Snap the glass faceplate onto the switch module.
  6. Restore Power: Turn the main power supply back on at the circuit breaker. The switch's LED indicator should light up.

6.2. App Installation and Device Pairing

To control your Maxcio WF-CS01 switch via smartphone, download the Maxcio app.

  1. Download App: Search for "Maxcio" in the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, or scan the QR code provided in the product packaging. Install the app.
  2. Register/Login: Open the Maxcio app and register a new account or log in with an existing one.
  3. Add Device: In the app, tap "Add Device" or the "+" icon. Select "Curtain Switch" or the appropriate device type.
  4. Enter Wi-Fi Details: Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. Enter your Wi-Fi network password in the app. (5 GHz Wi-Fi is not supported).
  5. Pairing Mode: On the switch, press and hold the "Stop" button for approximately 5-7 seconds until the Wi-Fi indicator light on the switch starts blinking rapidly. This indicates pairing mode.
  6. Connect: Confirm the indicator light is blinking rapidly in the app. The app will then search for and connect to the switch. Once connected, you can rename the device.

7. Operating Instructions

7.1. Manual Control

You can operate the roller shutter directly using the touch buttons on the switch:

  • Tap the Up Arrow button to open/raise the shutter.
  • Tap the Down Arrow button to close/lower the shutter.
  • Tap the Stop button to pause the shutter at its current position.

7.2. App Control

Once paired, use the Maxcio app to control your roller shutter from anywhere with an internet connection.

  • Open the Maxcio app and select your roller shutter switch.
  • You will see virtual buttons for Up, Down, and Stop, mirroring the physical switch.
  • Tap the corresponding button to control the shutter.
  • The app may also offer percentage control to set the shutter to a specific open/closed level.
  • Backlight Control: The app allows you to control the backlight of the switch, which can be useful in bedrooms or dark environments.

7.4. Timer Function

8. Maintenance

9. Troubleshooting
