3. Setup

3.1. Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge your Garmin Approach G80 using the provided USB cable and the PlayBetter Powerbank or a standard USB wall adapter. The device requires 1 Lithium Polymer battery (included).

3.2. Powering On/Off

Press and hold the power button located on the side of the device to turn it on or off.

3.3. Attaching Mounts

Securely attach the trolley/cart mount or lanyard carabiner to the G80 device as desired for your playing environment. Ensure the device is firmly seated in the mount to prevent accidental detachment.

4.2. Launch Monitor Features

  • Club Head Speed: Measures how fast your club is moving at impact.
  • Ball Speed: Measures the speed of the ball immediately after impact.

5. Maintenance

5.1. Cleaning

Regularly clean the device with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the screen or casing.

5.2. Battery Care

The G80 uses a Lithium Polymer battery. For optimal battery life, avoid extreme temperatures and store the device with a partial charge if not used for extended periods. The device offers up to 15 hours of GPS battery life.
