Setup and Charging
Initial Charge
Before first use, fully charge the GB50. The unit comes partially charged from the factory. To charge:
- Connect the included USB-C charging cable to the USB-C IN port on the GB50.
- Connect the other end of the USB-C cable to a powered USB-C port (e.g., wall adapter, car charger, computer USB port).
- The Charge LEDs will illuminate, indicating the charging progress. All four LEDs will be solid green when fully charged.
A full charge typically takes 5 hours. It is recommended to recharge the unit after each use to maintain optimal performance.
Understanding the LEDs
| LED Indicator | Description |
|---|---|
| Power LED (White) | Illuminates when the unit is ON. |
| Hot/Cold LED (Blue/Red) | Illuminates solid blue when internal temperature is too low. Illuminates solid or flashes red when internal temperature is too high. |
| Error LED (Red) | Blinks in various sequences (1 to 6 blinks) to convey error conditions (e.g., reverse polarity, short circuit). |
| Charge LEDs (Green/Orange/Red) | Indicates the charge level of the internal battery. Four solid green LEDs mean 100% charged. |
| Boost LED (White) | Illuminates white when boost is active. Flashes white when manual override feature is active. |

Operating Instructions: Jump Starting a Vehicle
Follow these steps carefully to safely jump start your vehicle:
- Connect Clamps:
- Connect the heavy-duty booster clamps to the GB50's 12V OUT port.
- Connect the red (positive) clamp to the positive (+) battery terminal.
- Connect the black (negative) clamp to the negative (-) battery terminal or a chassis ground point (unpainted metal part of the vehicle frame).
- Ensure connections are secure. The GB50's UltraSafe technology prevents sparks and reverse polarity issues.
- Power On: Press the Power Button on the GB50. The Power LED will illuminate white. The Charge LEDs will indicate the battery level.
- Start Vehicle: Attempt to start your vehicle. If the vehicle does not start immediately, wait 15-30 seconds before trying again. Do not crank for more than 5 seconds per attempt.
- Manual Override (if needed): If the GB50 does not detect the battery (e.g., battery is completely dead), the Boost LED may not illuminate. Press and hold the Manual Override Button for three (3) seconds until the Boost LED flashes white. This bypasses safety features and forces the unit to provide power. Use with extreme caution.
- Disconnect: Once the vehicle starts, disconnect the clamps from the battery terminals in reverse order (negative first, then positive). Power off the GB50.
