5. Setup
5.1 Powering the Machine
Your Magicfly Mini Sewing Machine can be powered in two ways:
- AC/DC Power Supply: Connect the provided power adapter to the DC Power Port on the machine and plug it into a standard wall outlet.
- Battery Power Supply: For wireless operation, insert 4 AA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment located at the bottom of the machine. Ensure correct polarity.

5.2 Attaching the Extension Table
For larger projects or increased stability, attach the extension table:
- Align the tabs on the extension table with the slots on the sewing machine.
- Gently slide the extension table onto the machine until it clicks into place. Ensure it is placed on top of the edge of the machine, not even with it, to prevent slipping.

Image: The extension table provides a larger work surface for various sewing projects, easily attaching to the main unit.
6. Threading the Machine
Correct threading is crucial for proper machine function. Follow these steps carefully:
6.1 Upper Threading
- Place a spool of thread on the thread spindle.
- Guide the thread through the first thread guide (marked '1' in the diagram).
- Pass the thread through the tension screw (marked '2'). Ensure the thread is properly seated in the tension discs.
- Thread through the take-up lever (marked '3'), ensuring it goes from right to left.
- Guide the thread down through the needle bar thread guide (marked '4').
- Finally, thread the needle from left to right (marked '5').

Image: Proper tension adjustment is vital. Loosen the tension slightly to prevent needle breakage during sewing.
6.2 Bobbin Winding and Lower Threading
- To wind a bobbin, place an empty bobbin on the winding pole (located near the handwheel).
- Guide thread from a spool through the bobbin winding tension disc and then around the empty bobbin.
- Turn the handwheel manually a few times to secure the thread, then turn on the machine to wind the bobbin.
- Once wound, remove the bobbin and insert it into the bobbin case under the needle plate. Ensure the thread unwinds in the correct direction (usually counter-clockwise).
- Pull the lower thread out about 4 inches (10 cm) to ensure it can be caught by the upper thread.

Image: Ensure sufficient lower thread is pulled out (approximately 4 inches) to allow the upper thread to catch it properly.
Note: The machine may arrive pre-threaded with a small piece of cloth. This is a factory test and does not indicate a used product.
