Setup
1. Attaching the Side Handle:
- Identify the threaded holes on either side of the grinder's gear housing.
- Screw the side handle clockwise into the desired hole until it is securely tightened.
2. Installing/Changing the Grinding Disc:
- Ensure the grinder is unplugged from the power source.
- Press and hold the spindle lock button.
- Using the spanner wrench (if provided), loosen and remove the outer flange nut by turning it counter-clockwise.
- Place the desired grinding or cutting disc onto the spindle, ensuring it sits flush against the inner flange.
- Replace the outer flange nut and tighten it securely with the spanner wrench while holding the spindle lock button.
- Release the spindle lock button.
3. Adjusting the Guard:
The wheel guard can be rotated to provide optimal protection for your specific application. Loosen the guard's clamping screw, rotate the guard to the desired position, and then securely tighten the screw.
Operating Instructions
1. Powering On/Off:
- To turn on the grinder, slide the On/Off switch forward. For continuous operation, some models may have a lock-on feature; press the front of the switch to engage it.
- To turn off, release the switch. If locked on, press the rear of the switch to release the lock and turn off the tool.
2. Grinding Techniques:
- Always hold the grinder firmly with both hands.
- Allow the disc to reach full speed before contacting the workpiece.
- Apply light, even pressure. Do not force the tool, as this can cause kickback or damage the motor.
- Maintain an angle of approximately 15-30 degrees between the disc and the workpiece for optimal grinding.
3. Cutting Techniques:
- Use only cutting discs for cutting applications.
- Hold the grinder at a 90-degree angle to the workpiece.
- Make shallow passes, gradually increasing the depth of the cut.
- Ensure the workpiece is securely clamped to prevent movement.
Maintenance
1. Cleaning:
- Regularly clean the ventilation openings to prevent motor overheating. Use a soft brush or compressed air.
- Wipe the tool's exterior with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
2. Disc Replacement:

3. Carbon Brushes:
