Introduction
This manual provides instructions for the installation, use, and maintenance of your Anmumu 12-Pack Charcoal Water Filters. These filters are designed to enhance water quality for your Cuisinart coffee maker, contributing to a better-tasting coffee and prolonging the life of your appliance.
The filters utilize food-grade coconut shell activated carbon and a high-grade micromesh material to reduce impurities such as chlorine, unpleasant odors, and other contaminants from your water.

Each filter is individually wrapped to maintain freshness and effectiveness until use. The filters are designed for easy integration into compatible Cuisinart coffee maker models.
Setup and Installation
- Preparation: Before initial use, soak the charcoal filter in water for approximately 15 minutes. This helps to activate the carbon and remove any loose carbon particles. It is normal for a few small black particles to be released during this initial soak; simply rinse the filter thoroughly under running water until the water runs clear.
- Locate Filter Holder: Refer to your Cuisinart coffee maker's manual to locate the water filter holder, typically found in the water reservoir.
- Insert Filter: Place the prepared charcoal filter into the designated filter holder. Ensure it is seated correctly.
- Secure Holder: Close or secure the filter holder according to your coffee maker's design.
- Fill Reservoir: Fill the coffee maker's water reservoir with fresh water.
- Initial Rinse Cycle: Run one or two brewing cycles with only water (no coffee grounds) to flush the system and ensure optimal filter performance. Discard this water.

Operating Principles
The Anmumu charcoal filters work by passing water through a bed of activated carbon. This process effectively reduces chlorine, unpleasant odors, and other impurities that can affect the taste of your coffee. The micromesh material further aids in filtering out suspended particles.

Regular use of these filters ensures that your coffee is brewed with cleaner, better-tasting water, enhancing the overall flavor profile of your beverage.
Maintenance and Replacement
For optimal performance and water quality, it is recommended to replace the charcoal filter every 30 to 60 days, or approximately every 60 uses, depending on your water hardness and frequency of use. Consistent replacement ensures continuous filtration effectiveness.
To replace a filter, follow the installation steps in reverse to remove the old filter, then install a new, prepared filter as described in the "Setup and Installation" section.

Troubleshooting
Issue: Small black particles in water after filter installation.
Solution: This is a normal occurrence, especially during the first use. The carbon inside the filter may release a few small black particles due to movement during shipment. To resolve this, ensure you soak the filter in water and rinse it thoroughly under running water before installation until no more black particles are visible. Running an initial brewing cycle with only water (and discarding it) will also help flush any remaining loose particles from the system.
