1. Transmitter (Push Button) Installation

The transmitter is designed for outdoor use and is weatherproof. Ensure the mounting surface is clean and dry before installation.

  1. Option A: Double-sided Mounting Tape
Peel off one side of the protective film from the double-sided tape and adhere it to the back of the transmitter. Peel off the other side and firmly press the transmitter onto your desired location (e.g., door frame or wall) for at least 30 seconds.
  2. Option B: Screws and Wall Anchors
Open the transmitter casing to access the screw holes. Use a small flat-head screwdriver to gently pry open the casing. Locate the mounting holes. Mark the desired drilling spots on the wall. Drill pilot holes, insert wall anchors if necessary, and then secure the transmitter with the provided screws. Close the casing securely after mounting.

Maintenance

1. Transmitter Battery Replacement

The transmitter uses an A23 battery. When the transmitter's LED indicator no longer lights up or the range decreases significantly, it's time to replace the battery.

  1. Gently pry open the transmitter casing using a small flat-head screwdriver as shown in the installation section.
  2. Remove the old A23 battery.
  3. Insert a new A23 12V alkaline battery, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Close the casing securely.

2. Cleaning

Wipe the doorbell units with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish or internal components. The transmitter is waterproof, but avoid submerging it in water.

Troubleshooting

  • No Sound from Receiver:
    • Ensure the receiver is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet.
    • Check the volume level on the receiver; it might be set to the lowest setting.
    • Verify the transmitter battery. Replace if necessary.
    • Re-pair the transmitter and receiver if they have lost connection (refer to 'Pairing Additional Units').
  • Reduced Range:
    • Replace the transmitter battery.
    • Ensure there are no large metal objects or thick walls between the transmitter and receiver that could interfere with the signal.
    • Relocate the receiver to a more central position.
  • Transmitter Button Not Working:
    • Check the transmitter battery and replace if needed.
    • Ensure the button is pressed firmly and completely.
    • Re-pair the transmitter with the receiver.
