Getting Started: Setup

Before first use, follow these steps to prepare your coffee brewer:

1. Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and promotional labels from your coffee brewer.
2. Clean Components: Wash the glass carafe, brew basket, and removable water reservoir in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry all parts.
3. Position: Place the coffee brewer on a clean, dry, and level surface.
4. First Clean Cycle:
   • Fill the water reservoir to the MAX fill line with fresh water.
   • Place an empty paper filter (or permanent filter, if using) into the brew basket.
   • Place the empty glass carafe on the warming plate.
   • Press the CLEAN button. The clean cycle will run for approximately 10 minutes.
   • Once complete, discard the water from the carafe and the filter. Your brewer is now ready for use.

Operating Instructions

Brewing Coffee

1. Fill Water Reservoir: Remove the water reservoir and fill it with fresh, cold water up to the desired brew size marking. Replace the reservoir securely.
2. Add Coffee Grounds: Insert a paper filter (cone-shaped, #4 size) into the brew basket, or use a permanent filter. Add your desired amount of ground coffee. Refer to the coffee scoop recommendations for best results.
3. Place Carafe: Ensure the glass carafe is empty and properly seated on the warming plate.
4. Select Brew Size: Use the BREW SIZE button to select your desired number of cups (e.g., Small Batch, Full Carafe).
5. Select Brew Style: Choose your preferred brew style using the BREW STYLE button:
   • CLASSIC: For a smooth, balanced coffee.
   • RICH: For a more intense, robust coffee flavor.
6. Start Brewing: Press the START BREW button. The brewing indicator light will illuminate.
7. Enjoy: Once brewing is complete, the brewer will beep, and the warming plate will activate to keep your coffee hot.

Programming Delay Brew

You can set your Ninja CE200 to automatically brew coffee at a later time.

1. Prepare your brewer for brewing as described in steps 1-3 above (water, coffee grounds, carafe).
2. Press the DELAY BREW button. The DELAY BREW light will flash, and the clock will display "12:00 AM" or the last set delay time.
3. Use the H (Hour) and M (Minute) buttons to set your desired brew start time.
4. Select your desired brew size and brew style.
5. Press the DELAY BREW button again to confirm. The DELAY BREW light will illuminate solid, indicating the delay brew is set.

Setting the Clock

1. Plug in the coffee brewer. The clock will flash "12:00 AM".
2. Use the H (Hour) and M (Minute) buttons to set the current time. The AM/PM indicator will change automatically.
3. The clock will automatically set after 5 seconds of inactivity, or you can press any other button to confirm.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your Ninja CE200 Coffee Brewer.

Daily Cleaning

• Carafe and Brew Basket: After each use, wash the glass carafe and brew basket in warm, soapy water or place them on the top rack of your dishwasher.
• Water Reservoir: The removable water reservoir can also be washed in warm, soapy water or placed on the top rack of your dishwasher.
• Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the brewer with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.

Descaling (CLEAN Cycle)

Over time, hard water can cause mineral buildup (scale) in your brewer, affecting performance and coffee taste. The CLEAN indicator light will illuminate when descaling is recommended.

1. Prepare Descaling Solution: Pour 16 oz. of white vinegar into the water reservoir, then fill the remainder of the reservoir with water up to the MAX fill line.
2. Start Clean Cycle: Place the empty glass carafe on the warming plate. Press the CLEAN button. The clean cycle will run for approximately 10 minutes.
3. Rinse Cycles: After the clean cycle is complete, discard the solution from the carafe. Fill the water reservoir with fresh water to the MAX fill line and run a full carafe brew cycle (without coffee grounds) to rinse the system. Repeat this rinse cycle at least once more.
4. The CLEAN light will turn off once the descaling process is successfully completed.
