Operating Instructions

Threading the Machine

  1. Raise the needle to its highest position.
  2. Place the spool of thread on the spool pin.
  3. Follow the numbered threading path indicated on the machine, guiding the thread through all tension discs and guides.
  4. Use the automatic needle threader to easily thread the needle eye. If preferred, thread manually from front to back.

Winding and Inserting the Bobbin

  1. Place an empty bobbin on the bobbin winder spindle.
  2. Guide the thread from the spool through the bobbin winding tension disc.
  3. Start winding the bobbin by gently pressing the foot controller. Stop when the bobbin is full.
  4. Open the bobbin case cover and insert the wound bobbin into the bobbin case, ensuring the thread unwinds in the correct direction.
  5. Pull the bobbin thread through the tension spring and close the cover.

Stitch Selection and Adjustment

  • Stitch Pattern: Rotate the pattern selection dial to choose from the 20 available automatic programs, including utility stitches, decorative stitches, and elastic stitches.
  • Stitch Length: Adjust the stitch length using the dedicated slider or dial, typically ranging from 0 to 4mm.
  • Stitch Width: Adjust the stitch width up to 5mm using the dedicated slider or dial, particularly useful for zigzag and decorative stitches.
  • Buttonhole: Select the buttonhole program. The machine will guide you through the one-step process to create a perfectly sized buttonhole.

Using the Free Arm

To use the free arm, slide off the accessory box. This exposes the narrow arm, which is ideal for sewing small, tubular items such as sleeves, pant hems, and cuffs. Simply slip the item over the free arm and sew.

Maintenance

Cleaning

  • Lint Removal: Regularly remove lint and dust from the bobbin case area and feed dogs using a small brush.
  • Surface Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

Needle Replacement

Replace the needle frequently, especially after every 8-10 hours of sewing or if it becomes bent or dull. Always use the correct needle type and size for your fabric. To replace, loosen the needle clamp screw, remove the old needle, insert the new needle with the flat side facing the back, and tighten the screw securely.
