Setup
1. Charging the Battery

2. Attaching the Belt Clip
Align the belt clip with the screw holes on the back of the radio and secure it with the provided screws.
3. Powering On/Off
Rotate the Power/Volume knob clockwise to turn the radio on. You will hear a "power on" tone. Continue rotating clockwise to increase the volume. Rotate counter-clockwise to decrease volume and turn the radio off.
Operating the Radio
1. Selecting a Channel
Rotate the Channel Selector knob (usually the top-most knob next to the antenna) to choose one of the 16 pre-programmed channels. The radio will announce the channel number.
2. Adjusting Volume
Rotate the Power/Volume knob (usually the second knob from the top) clockwise to increase the listening volume and counter-clockwise to decrease it.
3. Transmitting and Receiving
To transmit, press and hold the PTT (Push-to-Talk) button on the side of the radio. Speak clearly into the microphone, holding the radio approximately 2-3 inches from your mouth. Release the PTT button to stop transmitting and return to receive mode.
When receiving a signal, the radio's speaker will output the incoming audio.
