Setup and Assembly
Assembly typically requires two people and approximately 60-90 minutes. Follow these general steps for assembly:
- Attach Wheels to Base: Secure the wheels to the base plate using the provided hardware. This allows for easy portability.
- Assemble Base Frame and Pole: Attach the metal support frame to the base. Insert the main support pole into the frame and secure it.
- Install Propane Tank Housing: Slide the propane tank housing over the support pole and secure it to the base frame. This housing often includes a convenient tabletop surface.
- Connect Propane Hose: Route the propane hose through the support pole and connect it to the heater head assembly. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent leaks.
- Assemble Reflector: Attach the reflector panels to the top of the heater head assembly. These panels are typically wrapped in protective film that should be removed.
- Mount Heater Head: Carefully lift and secure the assembled heater head onto the top of the main support pole.
- Install Propane Tank: Place a standard 20 lb. propane tank (not included) into the base housing. Secure it with the internal strap and connect the regulator hose to the tank valve.
- Leak Test: Before first use, perform a leak test on all gas connections using a soapy water solution. Bubbles indicate a leak.

Operating Instructions
- Open Propane Valve: Slowly open the valve on the propane tank counter-clockwise.
- Ignite Heater:
- Locate the control knob and igniter button on the heater's control panel.
- Push and turn the control knob to the "PILOT" position. Hold for 30-60 seconds to purge air from the line.
- While holding the control knob in, press the igniter button repeatedly until the pilot flame lights. You may need to hold the knob for another 10-15 seconds after ignition to ensure the thermocouple is heated.
- Once the pilot is lit, release the control knob.
- Adjust Heat Output: Turn the control knob from "PILOT" to the desired heat setting (LOW to HIGH). The heater provides up to 48,000 BTUs of adjustable heat.
- Adjust Heat Direction (if applicable): Some models feature an adjustable reflector. Use the lever to tilt the reflector and direct heat as needed.
- To Turn Off: Turn the control knob to the "OFF" position. Close the valve on the propane tank.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Clean the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Burner Maintenance: Keep the burner and pilot assembly clean and free of debris. Inspect for spider webs or insect nests, which can obstruct gas flow.
- Gas Line Inspection: Periodically check the gas hose and connections for signs of wear, cuts, or leaks. Replace if damaged.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, disconnect the propane tank and store the heater in a cool, dry place, preferably covered to protect it from the elements.
Troubleshooting

| Pilot flame goes out. | Wind, loose thermocouple connection, low gas pressure. | Shield from wind. Check thermocouple. Ensure propane tank valve is fully open. |
| Low heat output. | Low gas pressure, partially closed tank valve, clogged burner. | Ensure tank valve is fully open. Check propane level. Clean burner ports. |
| Gas odor. | Gas leak. | Immediately turn off gas supply. Perform leak test. Do not operate if leak persists. Contact qualified service personnel. |
