General Safety Warnings

- Disconnect the charger from the AC outlet before cleaning.

Setup
Charging the Battery Pack (Battery Sold Separately)
BLACK+DECKER chargers are designed to charge BLACK+DECKER battery packs for maximum performance and life.
- Charge the battery pack fully before first use.
- Recharge discharged batteries as soon as possible after use. Do not discharge batteries fully.
- Plug the charger into an appropriate outlet before inserting the battery pack.
- Insert the battery pack into the charger.
- The green LED will flash, indicating that the battery is being charged.
- Completion of charge is indicated by the green LED remaining on continuously. The pack is fully charged and may be used or left on the charger.
Important Charging Notes:
- For best performance, charge the battery pack when the air temperature is between 65°F and 75°F (18° - 24°C).
- DO NOT charge below 40°F (4.5°C) or above +104°F (+40°C) to prevent damage.
- The charger and battery pack may become warm during charging; this is normal.
- If charging problems persist, check the receptacle, light switch connections, and surrounding air temperature. Contact a service center if issues continue.
Power Source Selection
The inflator can be powered by three modes: 12V DC, 120V AC, or a 20V MAX* battery pack. Select your desired power source before operation.
- For 12V DC Adapter or 20V MAX* Battery Pack: Press the AC/DC power switch on the front of the unit to 'DC'.
- If using the 12V DC cord, always fully extend the cord before each use. Connect the 12V DC adapter into your vehicle's 12V DC accessory socket.
- For 120V AC Cord: Press the AC/DC switch on the front of the unit to 'AC'.
- If using the 120V AC cord, always fully extend the cord before each use. Connect the 120V AC plug into a wall outlet or an appropriate extension cord.

Operating Instructions
When power is supplied, the digital display will remain on for approximately 10 minutes before entering sleep mode. Press the pressure mode power button to wake the system.
High-Pressure Inflation (Tires, Sport Balls)
Use the high-pressure hose for items requiring higher pressure, such as vehicle tires and sport balls.
- Remove the high-pressure hose from its storage location.
- Attach the appropriate nozzle (e.g., ball needle, Presta valve adapter) to the hose.
- Insert the nozzle into the item to be inflated.
- Press the high-pressure side of the mode power switch (indicated by the tire symbol).
- To turn off, push the power switch to the center position.


High-Volume Inflation (Rafts, Air Mattresses)
The high-volume hose is designed for items requiring large amounts of air, such as air mattresses, rafts, and swimming pool floats. Note: The high-volume mode does NOT have an auto shut-off feature.
- Attach the large volume hose to the high-volume pump inflator connection.
- Insert the high-volume hose or its tapered nozzle into the item being inflated.
- Press the high-volume side of the mode power switch (indicated by the air mattress symbol).
- To turn off, push the power switch to the center position.

Deflating High-Volume Items
The inflator can also rapidly deflate high-volume items.
- Remove the high-volume hose from its storage location.
- Line up the hose end with the high-volume pump deflate connection and firmly slide it in securely.
- Insert the hose or its tapered nozzle into the item being deflated.
- Press the high-volume side of the mode power switch (indicated by the air mattress symbol).
- To turn off, push the power switch to the center position.
- To remove the hose, twist it clockwise and slide it off.
Using as a Pressure Gauge
The inflator can be used to check pressure without inflating.
- Connect the universal valve adapter to the item to be checked.
- Press the mode power switch on the side of the item.
- The LCD will display the item's current pressure.
- After checking, press the mode power switch back to the center position and return the air hose to storage.
Maintenance
Cleaning
To clean the inflator and charger:
- WARNING: Shock hazard. Disconnect the charger from the AC outlet before cleaning.
- Dirt and grease may be removed from the exterior of the charger using a cloth or soft non-metallic brush.
- Do not use water or any cleaning solutions on the charger.
Troubleshooting
If the unit does not operate, ensure the power source is correctly connected and the power switch is in the correct position (AC or DC). If using a battery, ensure it is charged. For persistent issues, refer to the charging notes in the Setup section or contact customer support.
