4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning the Fingerprint Sensor

To ensure optimal performance and accurate fingerprint recognition, regularly clean the fingerprint sensor surface. Use a soft, lint-free cloth, slightly dampened with a non-abrasive cleaner (e.g., screen cleaner or isopropyl alcohol). Avoid excessive moisture or harsh chemicals that could damage the sensor.

4.2 General Cleaning

Wipe the exterior of the device with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and smudges. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Fingerprint Not Recognized

  • Ensure your finger is clean and dry.
  • Place your finger flat and centered on the sensor.
  • Clean the fingerprint sensor surface as described in Section 4.1.
  • If the issue persists, try re-registering your fingerprint.

5.2 USB Data Download Issues

  • Ensure the USB flash drive is properly inserted into the device's USB port.
  • Verify that the USB drive is formatted correctly (e.g., FAT32). Some users have reported success with USB 3.0 drives.
  • Confirm the download operation on the device's small display. The download process requires explicit confirmation on the device itself.
  • If the USB drive is not recognized by your computer after download, try reformatting the drive (this will erase all data on the drive).
  • Ensure your computer's operating system (Windows, macOS, Linux) has the necessary drivers to read standard USB storage devices.

5.3 Device Not Powering On or Intermittent Power

  • Check that the power adapter is securely connected to both the device and the power outlet.
  • Ensure the power outlet is functional.
  • Verify that the power plug is fully inserted into the socket, as some users have noted it may not feel perfectly secure.
  • If the device powers off unexpectedly, check the power connection. Data should remain in memory upon restart.
