5. Setup

5.1. Battery Installation

  1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the scale.
  2. Insert the 4 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -).
  3. Close the battery compartment cover.

5.2. Initial Placement and Calibration

  1. Place the scale on a hard, flat, and stable surface. Avoid carpets or soft flooring.
  2. Step onto the scale briefly until the display shows a reading, then step off. The scale will display '0.0' or 'CAL' and then turn off. This calibrates the scale for its current position.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Unit Selection

To change the weight unit (kg/lb/st:lb), press the 'UNIT' button located on the back of the scale. The selected unit will be displayed on the LCD screen.

6.2. Setting Up User Profiles

The scale can store data for up to 10 users. Follow these steps to set up a user profile:

  1. With the scale off, press the 'SET' button. The user number (P1, P2, etc.) will flash.
  2. Use the 'Up' or 'Down' arrows to select an empty user number (P1-P10). Press 'SET' to confirm.
  3. The gender icon will flash. Use the arrows to select male or female. Press 'SET'.
  4. The height value will flash. Use the arrows to adjust your height. Press 'SET'.
  5. The age value will flash. Use the arrows to adjust your age. Press 'SET'.
  6. The display will show '0.0' and then turn off, indicating the profile is saved.

6.3. Taking a Measurement

For accurate body composition analysis, ensure your feet are bare, clean, and dry. Stand still on the scale.

  1. Gently step onto the scale with bare feet, ensuring your feet are positioned on the metal electrodes. The scale will automatically turn on.
  2. Stand still until your weight is displayed and flashes.
  3. The scale will then process your body composition data. Your user number (P1-P10) should appear, followed by various metrics such as BMI, body fat percentage, body water percentage, muscle mass, bone mass, and calorie estimates.
  4. The scale will automatically turn off after a few seconds.

7. Maintenance

7.1. Cleaning

Wipe the scale with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the scale in water. Ensure the scale is dry before storage or next use.
