Introduction

Setup
1. Charging the Controller
The Surge Switchpad Pro features a built-in 550mAh rechargeable battery, providing up to 12 hours of gameplay on a full charge. Before first use, or when the battery is low, charge the controller using the provided USB-C cable.
- Connect the small end of the USB-C cable to the USB-C charge port on the top of the controller.
- Connect the larger USB-A end of the cable to a powered USB port (e.g., Nintendo Switch dock, computer, or USB wall adapter).
- The LED player indicators on the controller will illuminate to show charging status. They will turn off or change color when fully charged.

2. Pairing with Nintendo Switch
The Surge Switchpad Pro connects wirelessly via Bluetooth, offering a stable connection up to 25 feet away.
- From the Nintendo Switch HOME Menu, select Controllers, then Change Grip/Order.
- While on the "Change Grip/Order" screen, press and hold the HOME button on the Surge Switchpad Pro for a few seconds until the player LEDs begin to flash rapidly.
- Once paired, the player LED(s) corresponding to the controller number will remain solid.
- The controller is now ready for use.

Button Layout and Functions
The Surge Switchpad Pro features a professional-inspired button layout, including standard Nintendo Switch controls, 4 macro buttons, and a Turbo button.

- Standard Buttons: A, B, X, Y, L, R, ZL, ZR, D-Pad, Left/Right Analog Sticks, +, -, HOME, Capture.
- 6-Axis Motion Control: Compatible with motion-sensing games such as The Legend of Zelda, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Splatoon 2, and more.
- 4 Macro Buttons (M1, M2, M3, M4): Located on the rear of the controller. These can be programmed to execute complex button combinations with a single press.
- Turbo Button: Allows you to assign Turbo functionality to any face button or trigger, enabling rapid, automatic presses.
Programming Macro Buttons
The 4 ergonomic paddle buttons on the back of the controller can be programmed for custom macros.

- Press and hold the Macro Program button (usually a small button near the macro paddles) until the indicator light flashes.
- Press the desired Macro Button (M1, M2, M3, or M4) you wish to program. The indicator light will flash slowly.
- Input the sequence of buttons you want to assign (e.g., A, B, X, Y, L, R, etc.).
- Press the Macro Program button again to save the macro. The indicator light will turn off.
- To clear a macro, repeat steps 1-2, then press the Macro Program button without inputting any sequence.
Using Turbo Functionality
The Turbo function allows for rapid, continuous input of a button press.
- Press and hold the Turbo button.
- While holding the Turbo button, press the desired action button (e.g., A, B, X, Y, L, R, ZL, ZR) once to activate Turbo for that button.
- Release both buttons. Now, holding down the assigned action button will result in rapid, repeated presses.
- To deactivate Turbo for a specific button, press and hold the Turbo button again, then press the action button twice.
Maintenance
Cleaning
To maintain the appearance and functionality of your controller:
- Wipe the controller with a soft, dry cloth.
- For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Ensure the controller is completely dry before storing or using.
Battery Care
To prolong the life of the internal rechargeable battery:
- Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
- Store the controller in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
- Charge the controller at least once every three months if not used regularly.
Troubleshooting
