Maintenance
Proper maintenance will extend the lifespan of your RC excavator.
- Cleaning:
- After each use, especially if operated in dirt or sand, gently brush off any debris from the tracks, gears, and body.
- Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the exterior. Avoid water or cleaning solutions directly on electronic components.
- Ensure no foreign objects are lodged in the tracks or moving parts.
- Battery Care:
- Always fully charge batteries before storage if storing for an extended period.
- Store batteries in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Do not store fully depleted batteries.
- If not used for a long time, periodically charge the batteries to maintain their health.
- Storage: Store the excavator in its original packaging or a protective case to prevent dust and damage.
- Lubrication: Periodically check moving metal parts for smooth operation. If necessary, apply a small amount of RC-safe lubricant to pivot points, avoiding electrical components.
