6. Operation
Once the KERUI DC Cable Extender is properly connected between your power adapter and device, simply power on your device as usual. The cable acts as a passive extension and does not require any additional operational steps.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the cable with a dry, soft cloth if it becomes dusty. Do not use liquid cleaners.
- Storage: When not in use, coil the cable loosely and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect the cable and connectors for any signs of wear, cuts, or damage. Discontinue use if damage is observed.
8. Troubleshooting
8.1. No Power to Device
- Check Connections: Ensure both ends of the extension cable are securely connected to the power adapter and the device.
- Verify Power Adapter: Confirm that the original power adapter is functioning correctly by testing it directly with the device (if possible).
- Check Device: Ensure the device itself is operational.
- Inspect Cable: Look for any visible damage to the cable (cuts, kinks, exposed wires). If damaged, replace the cable.
- Current Draw: If using multiple cascaded cables or a high-power device, ensure the total current draw does not exceed the cable's 5A rating.
