3. Setup
3.1. Mounting the Device
- Choose a Location: Select a suitable location on your vehicle's windshield or dashboard that does not obstruct your view of the road or interfere with airbags.
- Clean the Surface: Ensure the chosen surface is clean and dry before attaching the mounting bracket.
- Attach the Mount: Peel the protective film from the adhesive pad (if using) and firmly press the mounting bracket onto the desired surface. Hold for at least 30 seconds to ensure a strong bond.
- Attach the Device: Slide the Navitel MS700 device onto the mounting bracket until it clicks securely into place.
3.2. Powering On
- Connect Power: Insert the mini USB end of the car charger cable into the USB port on the top of the device's mounting bracket.
- Plug into Vehicle: Plug the other end of the car charger into your vehicle's 12V power outlet (cigarette lighter socket).
- Automatic Power On: The device should automatically power on when the vehicle's ignition is turned on. If not, press and hold the power button (usually the OK/Record button) for a few seconds.
- Initial Setup: Follow the on-screen prompts to select your language, time zone, and other initial settings.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Basic Navigation
- Touchscreen Control: The device features a capacitive touchscreen. Tap icons and buttons to select options. Swipe to scroll through menus or maps.
- Main Menu: From the main screen, you can access various functions such as Navigation, Settings, Media Player, and File Browser.
- Entering Destination:
- Tap "Navigation" on the main menu.
