Setup

Connecting to an Amplifier/Receiver

  1. Ensure both the CD player and your amplifier/receiver are powered off.
  2. Connect the RCA audio cables (not included) from the LINE OUT jacks (L and R) on the rear of the CD-P650-B to the corresponding audio input jacks on your amplifier/receiver (e.g., CD IN, AUX IN).
  3. For digital audio, connect an optical cable (not included) from the DIGITAL OUT (OPTICAL) port on the CD-P650-B to a digital optical input on your amplifier/receiver.

Power Connection

Connect the power cable to the AC inlet on the rear of the unit and then to a standard wall outlet.

Remote Control Battery Installation

The remote control requires two AA batteries. Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote control, insert the batteries according to the polarity markings, and close the compartment.

Operating Instructions

Basic CD Playback

  1. Press the STANDBY/ON button to power on the unit.
  2. Press the Eject button (Eject icon) to open the disc tray.
  3. Place a CD (CD, CD-R/RW, or MP3 disc) with the label side up into the disc tray.
  4. Press the Eject button again to close the disc tray. The unit will read the disc.
  5. Press the Play/Pause button (Play icon) to begin playback.
  6. Use the Skip/Search buttons (Skip forward icon / Skip backward icon) to navigate between tracks.
  7. Press the Stop button (Stop icon) to stop playback.

The unit supports Repeat (One, All, A-B), Shuffle, and 32-track Program Play functions, accessible via the remote control.

USB Playback

  1. Connect a USB memory device containing MP3 files to the iPod/USB port on the front panel.
  2. Press the CD/USB button to switch to USB mode.
  3. Use the playback controls (Play, Stop, Skip) to manage your MP3 files.

iPod/iPhone Digital Interface

  1. Connect your iPod or iPhone to the iPod/USB port on the front panel using a compatible USB cable (not included).
  2. The CD-P650-B will establish a digital audio connection, allowing playback of audio files from your device.
  3. Your iPod/iPhone will charge while connected and playing back audio.

MP3 Recording to USB Memory Device

  1. Connect a USB memory device to the iPod/USB port.
  2. Insert an audio CD into the disc tray.
  3. Press the CD/USB button to ensure the unit is in CD mode.
  4. Select the track(s) you wish to record. You can choose to record a single track or the entire disc.
  5. Press the RECORD button. The recording will begin.
  6. To stop recording, press the STOP button.

Note: MP3 recording from AUX input to USB memory device is also supported.

Headphone Output

Connect headphones to the PHONES jack on the front panel. Adjust the listening volume using the LEVEL control knob next to the headphone jack.

Troubleshooting

If you experience issues with your CD-P650-B, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:

ProblemPossible Cause / Solution
Unit does not power on.Check if the power cable is securely connected to the unit and the wall outlet. Ensure the wall outlet is functional.
"NO DISC" message appears.Ensure a disc is properly inserted with the label side up. The disc may be dirty or scratched; try a different disc or clean the current one.
No sound output.Verify audio cables are correctly connected to your amplifier/receiver. Check the input selection on your amplifier/receiver. Ensure the volume on both the CD player (headphone level) and amplifier is not muted or set too low.
Remote control not working.Check if the batteries are correctly inserted and not depleted. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the unit's remote sensor.
USB device not recognized.Ensure the USB device is formatted correctly (FAT16/FAT32) and contains compatible MP3 files. Try a different USB device.
Recording to USB fails.Ensure the USB device has sufficient free space. Check if the USB device is write-protected.
