4.1. Battery Installation

For the Outdoor Transmitter (TFA 30.3236.02):

  1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the outdoor transmitter.
  2. Insert 2x 1.5V AAA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

For the Main Unit (Alarm Clock):

  1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the alarm clock.
  2. Insert 2x 1.5V AA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-). These batteries serve as a backup for time settings during power outages.
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

4.2. Power Connection

Connect the provided power adapter to the DC input port on the back of the alarm clock and then plug it into a standard electrical outlet. The display will illuminate.

4.3. Initial Synchronization

Upon initial power-up, the alarm clock will automatically attempt to receive the DCF77 radio signal for time synchronization. This process may take several minutes. Ensure the clock is placed in an area with good reception, away from electronic interference. The outdoor transmitter will also attempt to connect with the main unit to display the outdoor temperature.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Display Brightness

The display brightness can be adjusted between 2 levels. Refer to the specific button on your device (usually labeled "LIGHT" or a sun icon) to cycle through the brightness settings.

5.2. Color Change Function

The alarm clock offers two display color modes:

5.3. Time and Date Settings

The clock automatically sets the time via the DCF77 radio signal. If manual adjustment is needed or for initial setup before signal reception:

  1. Press and hold the "SET" or "MODE" button to enter time setting mode.
  2. Use the "+" or "-" buttons to adjust hours, minutes, year, month, and day.
  3. Press "SET" or "MODE" again to confirm each setting and move to the next.
  4. You can also set the time zone (+2/-1) if your location differs from the DCF77 signal's default.
  5. The day of the week can be displayed in 7 languages. Refer to the manual for language selection.

5.4. Alarm Function

To set the alarm:

  1. Press the "ALARM" button to view the current alarm time.
  2. Press and hold "ALARM" to enter alarm setting mode.
  3. Use the "+" or "-" buttons to adjust the desired alarm hour and minute.
  4. Press "ALARM" again to confirm.
  5. To activate/deactivate the alarm, press the "ALARM" button briefly outside of setting mode. An alarm icon will appear/disappear on the display.

Snooze Function: When the alarm sounds, press the "SNOOZE" button (often a large button on top) to temporarily silence the alarm. The alarm will sound again after a few minutes (typically 5-10 minutes). To stop the alarm completely, press any other button.

5.5. Temperature Display

The alarm clock displays both indoor and outdoor temperatures.

If the outdoor temperature is not displayed, check the transmitter's batteries and its proximity to the main unit. You may need to manually initiate a search for the outdoor sensor (refer to the manual's "Sensor Search" section).

5.6. USB Charging Function

A USB charging port (1A) is located on the side or back of the alarm clock. You can use this port to charge mobile devices such as smartphones. Connect your device's USB charging cable to this port. Note that charging speed may vary depending on the device.
