Setup
1. Battery Installation:
- Ensure the battery is fully charged using the provided V20 Lithium Ion Charger.
- Align the battery with the battery port on the trimmer handle.
- Slide the battery into place until it clicks securely.
2. Attaching the Auxiliary Handle:
- Loosen the knob on the auxiliary handle.
- Slide the auxiliary handle onto the trimmer shaft to a comfortable position.
- Tighten the knob to secure the handle.

3. Adjusting the Telescoping Pole:
- Locate the adjustment collar on the pole.
- Twist to unlock the pole.
- Extend or retract the pole to your desired length for comfortable operation.
- Twist to lock the pole securely in place.
Operating Instructions
1. Starting the Trimmer:
- Ensure the battery is securely installed.
- Press and hold the safety button located on the handle.
- While holding the safety button, squeeze the trigger to start the trimmer.
2. Speed Settings:
The trimmer features two speed settings. Use the speed selection button on the handle to switch between high speed for more power and low speed for extended runtime.
3. Edging Function:
The trimmer can be easily converted to an edger. Simply twist the shaft to rotate the head 90 degrees, allowing for precise edging along sidewalks and driveways.

4. Automatic Line Feed:
This trimmer features an automatic line advance feed system. There is no need to bump the head to advance the line; it will feed automatically as needed during operation.

Maintenance
1. Cleaning:
After each use, disconnect the battery and clean the trimmer head and guard to remove any grass clippings, dirt, or debris. Use a damp cloth; do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
2. Line Replacement:
When the cutting line is depleted, replace it with 0.065-inch diameter string trimmer line. Refer to the detailed instructions in the full user manual for specific steps on how to open the spool housing and properly wind new line.
3. Battery Care:
Store the battery in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Always charge the battery fully before storage and periodically during long periods of inactivity to maintain its lifespan.
Troubleshooting
Trimmer Not Starting:
- Ensure the battery is fully charged and properly inserted.
- Verify that the safety button is pressed before squeezing the trigger.
- Check for any obstructions around the trimmer head that might prevent it from spinning.
Line Not Feeding:
- Check if the line is tangled or jammed within the spool.
- Ensure the line is correctly wound on the spool.
- The spool might be empty and require replacement.
