7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: After use, especially in dusty or sandy environments, wipe down the tripod legs and ball head with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals.
  • Lubrication: Periodically check leg locks and ball head mechanisms for smooth operation. Do not over-lubricate; consult SIRUI support if lubrication is needed.
  • Storage: Store the tripod in its provided bags in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Tightening: Regularly check all screws and connections for tightness. Use the provided adjustment wrench for any loose parts.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Tripod Instability: Ensure all leg sections are fully extended and twist locks are securely tightened. Verify that leg angles are properly engaged.
  • Ball Head Slippage: Confirm the ball lock knob is fully tightened. Ensure the quick release plate is securely attached to both the camera and the ball head clamp.
  • Stiff Leg Locks: Clean any dirt or debris from the leg lock threads. If persistent, a small amount of silicone-based lubricant may be applied, but avoid oil-based lubricants.
  • Quick Release Plate Issues: Ensure the plate is correctly seated in the clamp and the safety lock is engaged. If the plate feels loose, re-tighten the screw connecting it to your camera.
