3. Operation

3.1 Powering On/Off the DX200 Audio Player

  • To power on, press and hold the power button (location varies by DX200 model, refer to DX200 specific manual if needed) until the screen illuminates.
  • To power off, press and hold the power button until the power-off options appear on the screen, then select 'Power Off'.

3.2 Basic Audio Playback

Once the DX200 is powered on and the SR1 headphones are connected, navigate through the DX200's interface to select and play your desired audio files. Use the media control buttons on the DX200 (Play/Pause, Skip Track) for playback control.

3.3 Volume Control

Adjust the volume using the dedicated volume controls on the iBasso DX200 Audio Player. Start with a low volume and gradually increase it to a comfortable listening level to prevent hearing damage.

3.4 Device Compatibility

The iBasso SR1 headphones are designed to be compatible with all audio players, including the iBasso DX120, DX150, and DX200, as well as other devices with a 3.5mm or 6.3mm headphone jack.

4. Care and Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

  • Ear Pads: Gently wipe the ear pads with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth with mild soap can be used, but ensure no moisture enters the headphone drivers. Allow to air dry completely before use.
  • Headphone Body: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the metal and silicone surfaces of the headphones. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Connectors: Keep the MMCX connectors and 3.5mm/6.3mm jacks clean and free of dust.

4.2 Storage

When not in use, store the SR1 headphones in a clean, dry place, preferably in their original case or a protective pouch, to prevent dust accumulation and physical damage. Avoid exposing them to extreme temperatures or humidity.

4.3 Cable Care

Handle the detachable cable gently. Avoid sharp bends or excessive pulling, especially near the connectors, to prolong its lifespan. When detaching, pull directly on the connector housing, not the cable itself.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your iBasso SR1 headphones or DX200 Audio Player, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

5.1 No Sound or Sound from One Side

  • Check Cable Connections: Ensure the detachable MMCX cable is securely connected to both headphone earcups and the audio player. Disconnect and reconnect firmly.
  • Verify Audio Source: Confirm that the DX200 Audio Player is powered on, playing audio, and its volume is not muted or set too low. Test with another audio source if possible.
  • Inspect Cable: Check the headphone cable for any visible damage or kinks. Try using a different compatible cable if available.

5.2 Rattling Noise from Headphones

If you hear a rattling noise when moving the headphones, it may be due to loose components. Gently check the screws on the outer rings of the earcups. If you possess the appropriate tools (e.g., Torx T5 screwdriver) and feel comfortable, you may attempt to gently tighten any loose screws. If the issue persists or you are unsure, contact customer support.

5.3 Poor Sound Quality

  • Audio File Quality: Ensure the audio files being played are of high quality. Low-quality or compressed files can result in suboptimal sound.
  • Earpad Fit: Confirm that the ear pads are properly seated around your ears, creating a good seal. An improper fit can affect bass response and overall soundstage.
  • Source Device Settings: Check the equalizer or sound enhancement settings on your DX200 Audio Player or other connected device.
