Setup and Installation

Proper installation is crucial for optimal performance. It is recommended to have this product installed by a professional if you are not familiar with vehicle electrical systems.

  1. Mounting the Camera:

Attach the license plate frame with the integrated camera to the rear of your vehicle using the existing license plate mounting points. Ensure the camera lens is unobstructed and facing the desired direction. The camera's angle can be adjusted by 45° up or down.

Figure 5: Camera Mounting. The camera is designed to be mounted as part of the license plate frame.
  2. Power Connection:

Connect the red wire of the power cable to the positive (+) terminal of your vehicle's reversing lamp. Connect the black wire to a suitable ground point (GND) or the negative (-) terminal of the reversing lamp. This ensures the camera powers on automatically when the vehicle is put into reverse.

  3. Video Connection:

Connect the yellow RCA connector of the video cable from the camera to the video input (typically yellow RCA) on your compatible display monitor. If your monitor requires an additional trigger signal to display the reversing image, connect the video input trigger wire (often labeled A/B in some diagrams) to the reversing lamp's positive (+) terminal as well.
