Setup and Installation

Before You Begin:

  • Turn off power at the circuit breaker or fuse box.
  • Ensure you have all necessary tools: screwdriver, wire strippers, electrical tape, caulk (optional, for sealing).

Installation Steps:

  1. Prepare Mounting Location: Choose a suitable outdoor location, preferably on a wall or under an eave, ensuring it is within reach of a junction box.
  2. Attach Mounting Bracket: Secure the mounting bracket to the junction box using the provided screws. Ensure it is firmly attached.
  3. Wire Connections:
    • Connect the black wire from the fixture to the black (live) wire from the junction box.
    • Connect the white wire from the fixture to the white (neutral) wire from the junction box.
    • Connect the green or bare copper (ground) wire from the fixture to the green or bare copper (ground) wire from the junction box.
    • Secure all connections with wire nuts and electrical tape.
  4. Mount Fixture: Carefully align the fixture with the mounting bracket and secure it with the cushion ring and screws. Ensure a tight seal against the mounting surface.
  5. Adjust Light Heads and Sensor: Loosen the adjustment screws on the light heads and motion sensor to position them as desired. Tighten screws once adjusted.

Adjusting Settings:

  • TIME Setting: This dial controls how long the light remains on after motion is detected.
    • Adjust to 30s for 30 seconds.
    • Adjust to 60s for 60 seconds.
    • Adjust to 120s for 120 seconds.
  • SENSITIVITY Setting (Dusk to Dawn): This dial controls the ambient light level required for the motion sensor to become active.
    • Adjust towards 'L' (Low) for the sensor to activate only in very dark conditions.
    • Adjust towards 'H' (High) for the sensor to activate in brighter dusk conditions.
    • The 'TEST' mode allows you to test the motion detection range during daylight hours. The light will turn on for a few seconds each time motion is detected, regardless of ambient light.

Motion Sensor Operation: The sensor detects movement within its 180-degree field of view and up to 30 feet away. For optimal performance, ensure the sensor is not obstructed and is aimed at the desired detection area.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your flood light.

  • Cleaning: Periodically wipe the light fixture and motion sensor lens with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt, dust, or debris. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Inspection: Annually inspect the wiring and mounting for any signs of wear, damage, or loosening. Ensure all seals remain intact to prevent water intrusion.
