2. Safety Precautions
Operating an RC airplane requires caution. Failure to follow these safety guidelines may result in injury or damage to property.
- Age Recommendation: This product is recommended for users 16 years and older. Adult supervision is advised for younger users.
- Flight Environment: Fly in open, clear areas away from people, buildings, trees, power lines, and water. Avoid flying in strong winds (over 8 mph) or adverse weather conditions.
- Pre-Flight Check: Always ensure the aircraft and remote control batteries are fully charged and properly installed. Verify all controls are functioning correctly before each flight.
- Battery Safety: Use only the provided charger and battery. Do not overcharge or short-circuit the battery. Disconnect the battery after use and store it in a cool, dry place.
- Propeller Safety: Keep hands, face, and loose clothing away from rotating propellers. The propellers can cause serious injury.
- Line of Sight: Always maintain visual line of sight with the aircraft during flight.
- Respect Local Regulations: Be aware of and comply with all local laws and regulations regarding RC aircraft operation.

4. Setup and Assembly
Follow these steps to prepare your XK A100 for its first flight.
4.1. Charging the Flight Battery
- Connect the LiPo battery to the balance charger.
- Plug the balance charger into a suitable USB power source.
- The indicator light on the charger will show the charging status (e.g., red for charging, green for fully charged).
- Charging typically takes 60-90 minutes. Do not leave batteries unattended while charging.
4.2. Installing Landing Gear
Gently insert the landing gear wires into the designated slots on the underside of the aircraft fuselage. Ensure they are securely seated.
4.3. Installing Propellers
The propellers are pre-installed. If replacement is needed, ensure the new propellers are correctly oriented and securely attached to the motor shafts.
4.4. Installing Remote Controller Batteries
Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote controller and insert 4x AA batteries (not included), observing correct polarity. Close the compartment securely.
4.5. Binding the Aircraft and Remote Controller
- Ensure the aircraft battery is disconnected and the remote controller is off.
- Turn on the remote controller.
- Connect the flight battery to the aircraft. Place the aircraft on a flat surface.
- The aircraft's indicator light will flash. Move the throttle stick on the remote controller all the way up, then all the way down.
- The indicator light on the aircraft will become solid, indicating successful binding.

5. Operating Instructions
Familiarize yourself with the controls and flight modes before attempting your first flight.
5.1. Remote Controller Functions
- Left Stick (Throttle/Rudder): Controls altitude (up/down) and yaw (left/right turn).
- Right Stick (Elevator/Aileron): Controls pitch (forward/backward) and roll (left/right bank).
- Rudder Volume Switch: Adjusts the sensitivity of the controls. Small rudder setting is ideal for beginners, providing more stable flight. Large rudder setting allows for more agile maneuvers and 3D flips.

Image 5.1: Illustration of the 'Small and big rudder setting' feature, allowing pilots to adjust control sensitivity for different flight styles.
5.2. Pre-Flight Checks
- Ensure batteries are fully charged (aircraft and remote).
- Verify the aircraft and remote are bound.
- Check for any physical damage to the aircraft, especially propellers and foam body.
- Confirm all control surfaces (elevators, ailerons, rudder) respond correctly to remote input.
5.3. Take-Off
Place the aircraft on a flat surface facing into the wind (if any). Gradually increase the throttle. Once sufficient speed is gained, gently pull back on the elevator stick to lift off. Alternatively, hand-launch the aircraft by gently throwing it forward and immediately applying throttle.
5.4. Basic Flight
Use the left stick for altitude and turning, and the right stick for forward/backward movement and banking. Start with small, gentle inputs. The 6-axis gyro provides stability, making it easier for beginners to maintain control.
5.5. Advanced Maneuvers (3D Flips)
With the rudder volume set to 'Large', the aircraft can perform 3D flips. While flying at a sufficient altitude, quickly move the right stick to the desired direction (e.g., full right or full left) and hold briefly to execute a flip. Practice at a safe height.
5.6. Landing
Approach the landing area at a low altitude and reduced speed. Gradually decrease throttle and gently pull back on the elevator stick to flare the aircraft for a soft landing. Aim for a smooth, controlled descent.
6. Maintenance
Proper maintenance will extend the lifespan of your XK A100.
- Cleaning: After each flight, wipe down the aircraft with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt or debris. Avoid using harsh chemicals.
- Battery Care: Always disconnect the battery from the aircraft after use. Store LiPo batteries in a cool, dry place, ideally at a storage voltage (around 3.8V per cell) if not used for extended periods. Do not store fully charged or fully discharged.
- Propeller Inspection: Regularly check propellers for cracks, bends, or damage. Replace damaged propellers immediately to ensure balanced flight and prevent motor strain.
- EPP Foam Repair: The EPP foam material is durable but can be damaged in crashes. Small cracks or breaks can often be repaired using foam-safe glue or tape. Ensure repairs are secure and do not affect the aircraft's balance or aerodynamics.
- Storage: Store the aircraft in a safe place, away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and moisture.

7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your XK A100, refer to the following common problems and solutions.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Aircraft does not respond to remote controller. | Not bound, low remote battery, low aircraft battery. | Re-bind the aircraft. Replace remote batteries. Charge aircraft battery. |
| Aircraft flies erratically or not straight. | Damaged propeller, unbalanced aircraft, strong wind, gyro malfunction. | Check and replace propellers. Ensure no physical damage. Avoid strong winds. Contact support if gyro issue persists. |
| Short flight time. | Battery not fully charged, old/damaged battery. | Ensure battery is fully charged. Consider replacing the battery if it's old or damaged. |
| Motor not spinning or weak. | Motor damage, wiring issue, low battery. | Check battery level. Inspect motor and wiring for visible damage. Contact support if motor is faulty. |
| Aircraft loses signal or has limited range. | Interference, remote battery low, environmental factors. | Fly in open areas away from interference. Replace remote batteries. |
