4.3 Recording Modes

The system offers flexible recording options to suit your needs:

  • Continuous Recording: Records 24/7. The 1TB HDD can store approximately 480 hours of video from 4 cameras simultaneously.
  • Motion Detection Recording: Records only when motion is detected, saving storage space.
  • Scheduled Recording: Set specific times for recording.

The system utilizes H.265 video compression technology, which is more efficient than H.264, allowing for longer recording times with the same storage capacity. When the HDD is full, the system automatically overwrites the oldest footage to continue recording.

  • Check Connections: Ensure all power and network cables are securely connected and free from damage.
  • Software Updates: Check the manufacturer's website or the NVR's system settings for available firmware updates. Keeping your system updated can improve performance and security.
  • HDD Health: The NVR's interface may provide information on the HDD's health. Monitor this periodically to prevent data loss.
  • Power Supply: Ensure stable power supply to both the NVR and cameras. Unstable power can affect performance and lifespan.
