1. Introduction and Overview
The Zoom Q2n-4K is a compact 4KHD video camera designed for musicians and content creators. It features a 150-degree wide-angle lens, versatile lighting scene settings, and high-quality stereo XY microphones, making it ideal for capturing performances, videos, and livestreams with exceptional audio and video clarity.

2. What's in the Box
Upon opening the package, ensure all the following items are present:

3. Setup
3.1 Battery Installation
The Q2n-4K operates on two AA batteries. To install, locate the battery compartment on the bottom of the device. Open the cover, insert the batteries according to the polarity indicators (+/-), and close the cover securely.
3.2 MicroSD Card Installation
The Q2n-4K supports microSDHC/microSDXC cards up to 256GB (Class 10 or higher recommended for 4K recording). Insert the microSD card into the designated slot until it clicks into place. To remove, push the card gently until it springs out.

3.3 Powering On
Press and hold the power button located on the side of the device until the LCD screen illuminates. The device will perform a brief startup sequence.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Video Recording
To begin video recording, ensure a formatted microSD card is inserted. Use the navigation buttons to select your desired video resolution (e.g., 4K/30fps, 1080p/60fps) and frame rate. Adjust the Field of View (FOV) and select a suitable lighting scene from the available options (Auto, Outdoor, Sunset, Night, Concert Light, etc.) to optimize image capture for your environment. Press the record button to start and stop recording.

4.2 Audio Recording
The Q2n-4K features high-quality XY stereo microphones. For optimal audio, ensure the microphone gain is set appropriately to avoid clipping. The device supports WAV audio recording at up to 96 kHz/24-bit. You can monitor audio levels on the LCD screen. An external microphone can be connected via the 1/8" Stereo input jack, bypassing the built-in XY mics.

4.3 Connecting to External Devices
The Q2n-4K includes a micro HDMI output for connecting to a TV or monitor for playback. It also has a micro USB port for file transfer to a computer or for use as a webcam/USB microphone. The 1/8" Stereo output jack can be used for headphone monitoring or as a line out.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Battery Care
To prolong battery life, remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period. Use high-quality alkaline, Ni-MH, or Lithium AA batteries. For continuous operation, consider powering the device via USB.
5.2 Storage
Store the Q2n-4K in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Always use the provided lens cap and hood to protect the lens when not in use.
5.3 Cleaning
Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. For the lens, use a specialized lens cleaning cloth and solution. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1 Common Issues and Solutions
- Device not powering on: Check battery installation and charge level. Ensure USB power source is connected correctly if not using batteries.
- Poor video quality: Ensure adequate lighting for your shot. Verify selected resolution and frame rate. Clean the lens if blurry.
- Poor audio quality: Check microphone gain levels to prevent clipping. Ensure external microphone is properly connected if used. Verify audio recording settings (kHz/bit).
- SD card errors: Ensure the card is Class 10 or higher. Try reformatting the card within the device (this will erase all data).
- No sound on playback (Windows): Some high-quality WAV audio settings may require specific drivers or codecs on Windows. Try a lower audio setting or use a different playback device/software.
