5.2 App Installation

1. Download the 'Smart Life' app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
2. Register a new account or log in if you already have one.

5.3 Device Installation and Network Connection

1. Plug the Maxcio Smart Outdoor Plug into a standard EU-type wall socket.
2. Open the 'Smart Life' app.
3. Tap the '+' icon in the top right corner to add a device.
4. Select 'Electrical Outlet' or 'Smart Plug' from the device list.
5. Follow the in-app instructions to connect the plug to your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. Ensure your phone is also connected to the 2.4 GHz network during setup.
6. Once connected, you can rename the plug and its individual outlets (S1 and S2) for easier identification.

5.4 Voice Assistant Integration (Alexa/Google Home)

1. In the 'Smart Life' app, navigate to the device settings and look for options to link with third-party services.
2. For Amazon Alexa: Open the Alexa app, go to 'Skills & Games', search for 'Maxcio' or 'Smart Life', and enable the skill. Link your Smart Life account.
3. For Google Home: Open the Google Home app, go to 'Set up device' > 'Works with Google', search for 'Smart Life', and link your account.
4. Once linked, discover devices in your Alexa or Google Home app. You can then control the plug and its individual outlets using voice commands (e.g., "Alexa, turn on S1").

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Manual Control

Press the physical button on the plug to manually turn both outlets ON or OFF simultaneously. This button acts as a master switch for the entire device.

6.2 App Control (Individual Outlets)

Open the 'Smart Life' app and select your Maxcio Smart Outdoor Plug. You will see separate controls for Outlet S1 and Outlet S2. Tap on each to turn them ON or OFF independently.

6.3 Scheduling and Timer Functions

Within the 'Smart Life' app, for each individual outlet (S1 and S2), you can set up schedules or countdown timers:

• Schedule: Create custom ON/OFF times for specific days of the week. This is ideal for automating garden lights, irrigation systems, or holiday decorations.
• Timer/Countdown: Set a countdown for an outlet to turn ON or OFF after a specified duration.

7. Maintenance

• Regularly inspect the plug and connected cables for any signs of damage or wear.

8. Troubleshooting

• Device not connecting to Wi-Fi: Ensure your router is broadcasting a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi signal. The plug does not support 5.0 GHz Wi-Fi. Move the plug closer to your router during setup.
• App cannot find the device: Make sure the plug is powered on and the indicator light is blinking (refer to app for specific blinking patterns for pairing mode). Try resetting the plug by holding the physical button for 5-10 seconds until the indicator light blinks rapidly.
• Voice control not working: Verify that the 'Maxcio' or 'Smart Life' skill is enabled in your Alexa/Google Home app and your accounts are linked correctly. Ensure the device is discovered by your voice assistant.
• Outlets not responding: Check if the plug is receiving power. If using the physical button, remember it controls both outlets simultaneously. For individual control, use the app.
• Unexpected power cycling: If the plug turns off by itself, ensure it is not overloaded (exceeding 2000W total or 10A per outlet). Check for any conflicting schedules or timers set in the app.
