7. Maintenance
- Keep the charger clean and free from dust and debris.
- Store the charger in a dry environment away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Avoid dropping or subjecting the charger to strong impacts.
- Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the charger, as this will void the warranty and may cause damage or injury.
8. Troubleshooting
8.1. "EE EE" Error Message
If the LCD screen displays "EE EE", it indicates one of the following conditions:
- Over-discharged IMR Battery: The battery is severely discharged. The charger will attempt to activate it. If activation fails, the battery may be unrecoverable.
- Damaged Battery: The battery is detected as damaged or faulty. Do not attempt to charge damaged batteries. Remove the battery immediately.

Image 8.1: The 'EE EE' error message indicates an over-discharged IMR battery.

Image 8.2: The 'EE EE' error message also indicates a damaged battery.
8.2. Charger Not Powering On
- Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the charger and the power source.
- Verify that the power source (USB adapter, power bank, etc.) is functioning correctly and providing sufficient power (DC 5V/2A or 9V/2A).
- Try a different USB cable or power source.
8.3. Battery Not Charging
- Check that the battery is inserted with correct polarity.
- Ensure the battery type is compatible with the UMS2 charger.
- Clean the battery contacts and charger contacts with a dry cloth to remove any dirt or corrosion.
- If the battery is severely over-discharged, it may take some time for the charger to activate it, or it may be unrecoverable.
